I bought LG fridge LFX 23965ST 3 years ago. It was fine till last summer. Firstly, it stopped producing ice about 6 month ago, and it made noise when I pushed the ice button. We knew that the repair is costly, so we lived without ice. About two weeks ago I noticed that the water is dropping from the fridge french door onto the freezer's door top, and after that the freezer stopped working. In two days the fridge did not make any cold and at the opposite, the temperature inside the fridge was significantly higher than in the kitchen. What can be a problem and does it worse repairing it?

SOURCE: Ice maker stopped after electric shutoff

You may have a problem with the computer control board in the ice maker.  Try this.  Turn off the icemaker for about 2 minutes.
Turn on the ice maker and press the clear button.  Press and hold this button for 12 seconds to get it to force extract.  This will confirm that the motors will work and push the ice cubes out.  Afterwards, let it run by itself.  If it still doesn't make ice, you will need to replace the icemaker.

Loud noise from freezer of GE model GSF25TGTB (Side by side)

Problems not related.  The first is most likely the fan, or possibly water dripping on to the fan and freezing, but usually the noise comes from the fan struggling to run.  The cube problem could be as simple as the ice dispenser being put back in wrong.  There is a metal lever under the ice tray that switches between crushed and cubed.  Make sure it is seated properly.

Refrigerator will not get cold, but freezer works

Make sure your fan is working ,its located behind the freezers back wall. If it is working the vent from the freezer down to the refrigerator may be blocked (usually with ice). With out a fan you have no circulation but your freezer may look likes its working,it may last 3 days. Also if you can move everything out unplug it turn it off w/ doors open untill all traces of ice are gone this will free up any clogged tubes. Good luck.

Hi there,

Most LG fridges have a 1 year warranty with some components exteneded, such as the compressor or sealed system repair. Those are usually 5 years or long, depending on the model.

Can you tell me the temp. in your fridge please? I have a strong suspicion that it may just be the thermostat.

Several problems with ice maker

i suspect he real problem is that the freezer is not defrosting. its difficult but take off thge back panel in the freezer and see if there is ice build-up on the pipework behind.if so melt it off with a hair-dryer and check also that the drain is clear. the water you have had on the floor could be due to intermittant defrosting
