My decade old replica Winner Rolex 24 AD DAYTONA 1992 is having a similar problem. Its faster by every 1 sec. per 4 hours. An average of 6 sec. per day. Approx. 42~45 sec. per week. And a total of approx. 3mins per month. I make the adjustment on the first day of every months. How accurate and precise the automatic replica Daytonas watch can be?

Please don't compare your 'copy' Rolex to the real thing, no comparison.A Rolex that has been timed properly and kept up on maintenance should run plus 6 to minus 4 seconds per day. This is considered to be acceptable. If you don't understand why a mechanical watch can't keep as good as a Timex there are libraries of books that have been written to explain it. Gravity, temperature, hard knocks, magnetism and the position of your watch are just a few of the obstacles mechanical watches face. By the way, no Rolex will ever keep time as well as a $30 Timex, about one half second a day or better.

I don't know if I can help you out, but I can tell you that even a low quality Daytona, or Submariner copy can be adjusted. My 1992 Daytona copy is at about 10 sec a month fast. I read a **** load about the movement, and did the adjustment myself. Any watch shop that tunes watches can do it.

I don't know what year your Submariner is, but today Rolex is using a new main spring (it is now blue). I would think a replacement spring would be the most you might need, but a good tune-up should do the trick. If it is real, I would think about sending it to Rolex for cleaning and a tune-up ($$$).

If it is not real just trash it! Fake people wear fake watches.

Watch stops after wearing for a few hours

Self winding watches need motion ( wrist twist) without they can stop. Sometimes just shake your wrist for a few seconds. I purchased a winder box for times I don't wear. ( Amazon)!
it is belt driven winder, rotates watch 5 minutes every hour.

Keeps stopping even when i am wearing it on my wrist.

Your Rolex sounds like it has a problem with the automatic winding gear train.A Rolex needs regular servicing when parts can be inspected and replaced.Servicing is about 3-5 year intervals.
You need a specialist Rolex watchmaker as only they can obtain Rolex parts.Try www.rolexrepairs.co.uk a full service will take 2-3 weeks.

Hi I have a Tissot T Race watch (model # T011417 A). It is still under gurantee, but I noticed that every 24 hours, there is a delay of 5 seconds in the watch; in other words (1 minute and 10 seconds...

I agree with the repair service, in that it probably is not a big deal, but since it is still under warranty, I would contact Tissot at the following to get their professional advice on their product.

Best wishes.

THE MARKERS AND POINTERS OF MY ROLEX SUBMARINER ARE NO LONGER LUMINOUS IN THE DARK. CAN THEY BE RE-COATED? ANY IDEA OF COSTS INVOLVED

They can be re coated or replaced. The watch will need to be re sealed after so now may be a good time to service the watch as this is advised every 4/5 years.
A service will cost £275.00/£325.00 and takes 2/3 weeks at www.rolexrepairs.co.uk

I have a rolex submariner and it occaisonally vibrates. What is the problem with this.

Sounds like mainspring is not holding in place and getting undone (unrolls by itself), that what usually causes the vibration.

Submariner Winding Slips

crowbar040, you may have a problem with your mainspring click, which is supposed to keep the spring coiled as it winds. What might be happening is it is sticking and coming undone instead of winding. Or you could have a bad gear in your automatic.
