Question about Lands Phones

1 Answer

Hi. I own a Nokia 6300 and recently the keypad just stopped working. Its not all they keys, only 1, 2, 3 and the selection button. I've tried removing the keypad and seeing if it works then, but it dosent. Today I tried taking the battery out and leaving it for a while, and putting it back in, and they worked for a minute or so. Please help im not sure if I should get a battery replacement or what.

The problem is probably with the actual keys and not the battery. If the battery was the problem then it would effect the whole phone not just four buttons. Try opening it up and cleaning the buttons with an old brush and leaving it for a while. If that doesnt work then your nest course of action is to take it in to your local shop who will definitly be able to fix it.

How do I put a keypad lock code in my Nokia C7-00

Hi,

Simply press the menu key and ash(*) key and the key pad will lock it self.

Or press the menu key, scroll to setting, press select key, scroll to phone setting, press select key, scroll to key guard setting, press select key, then you can now choose either theautomatic key guard or you want to use your on code.

When using the automatic keyguard, you specify the the seconds you want your phone to stay before being automatically locked up and presss ok.

Regards.

Handle Speaker phone stopped working

I'll assume this is on the base station portion. You can try unplugging the power while the phone is in the base, wait a minute, then plug back in. If that has no effect, I'm afraid you either have a failure in the keypad or in the electronics. To diagnose a keypad failure in the base, you'll need to disassemble the base. You'll find each of the rubbery keys momentarily connects two traces on the keypad circuit board when you press a button. You may also find the keypad fouled with dirt, liquid, etc, which could be a likely cause of failure. You can try manually shorting the two traces where the SP/Phone button would press and see if you are able to activate the speakerphone/dialtone. If that works, then carefully clean the keyboard circuit board and the rubbery keys. If that does not work, I conclude you have a bad keyboard circuit board or other electronics in the phone are bad.
