HAVE WE TALKED BEFORE: CANDYMANGANDY
IF NOT REMOVE ALL EXTRA CARDS, ALL CONNECTS EXCEPT THE POWER SUPPLY AND YOUR MONITOR, THAN TURN MACHINE ON.

CAN WE TEST THE MOTHERBOARD OUT OF THE CASE FIRST.

I KNOW I JUST BOUGHT 64BIT, I HAVE WORK ON EVERYTHING FROM 8BIT TO 32BIT SYSTEMS, WHEN 64BIT CAME OUT I CANNOT AFFORD IT AND THERE WAS NO SOFTWARE CAN BE RAN ON 64BIT, YOUR LIMITED SOFTWARE FOR 64BIT. I NEVER LEARDED LINUX BUT I BEEN AROUND IT SINCE 1980.
LINUX IS JUST AN OPERATING SYSTEM AND THAT SHOULDNT HAVE ANYTHING WITH IT STARTING UO

Hello sir, hi, check out the following: I'm assuming the things that you may have forgotten.
1. is the 4 pin 12V Molex power connector connected to the mother board? 2. did you use a a good and tested memory module? have this module tested first on another PC. 3. Is your memory slot free of dust and dirt? if not clean it up. 4. is you power supply fan and processor fan spins when power is on? 5. Try powering ONLY the motherboard connected to a video display, no sata/ide cable with a tested memory installed. 6. try another Power Supply box. 7. Is your processor mounted properly? 8. when you apply power look at the keyboard lights, 3 lights initial power on then 1 light the numlock led is on. 9. do you have a plugged in usb device, remove this device as you power on the motherboard. 10. do every thing again and double check.
if all else failed, bad mother board. have this checked by a technician.

I have a tiger mpx s2466n-4m. pc won't post.recognizes memory but wont go past bios and video shadowing? any help thanks! Just installed 2 AMD MP2600+ processors(wouldn't show any bios info)then went back...

Hello sir, hi, as I see it, your problem, can be anywhere in the PC, but I do suggest you test first these 5 parts on a separate PC, by swapping. Here are the possible 5 faults:
  1. Memory, even though is passes the counting on the bios, does the counting completes? i mean if your PC memory is 256 MB, it should count up to 256 MB.
  2. Processors, just make sure both are fine.
  3. VGA graphics card.
  4. Power supply box.
  5. Motherboard itself. To check this part, make sure all parts on the top 4 are good.
If all are considered tested and good. you may need to check other parts. So check for:
  • connections,
  • loose seating of video cards,
  • shorted or bad faulty DVD/hard disk drive,
  • plugged in USB devices, just remove them all.
  • reversed IDE cable, (the old one can be installed reversed)
The troubleshooting of your PC really takes time, But i do consider the motherboard to be the faulty one. Thats why we need to test everything before we consider the motherboard be the culprit.
