Cowon iaudio 10 frozen

Hi. I had problem like this, now resolved. My device is iAudio 9+ otherwise it's not matter.
You can find some solutions on the web but... maybe you can not do proper result first or second time. It comes because of some differences for so lot of devices.
I used this method.
How To Recover your Bricked J3 using Tcctool iAudiophile net Forums
Only one way working for me.
1. Prepare drivers and firmwares. Tcctool and Windows drivers for USB flashmode. Latest FW for your iAudio from Cowon Korea site. Unpack all files/folders into special directory in root of your Hard Drive (c:\COWON for example).
2. Boot your PC in compatibility with non-authorised hardware mode. Press F8 button when PC loading and choose Drivers signature disabled mode.
3. Turn off your iAudio with reset button. Press both M(enu) and VolUp buttons and boot on power. Screen doesn't fire but device standing up in flashmode. Connect USB cable to device, then to PC. On Windows Device Manager you must find new Unknown Device. Install drivers manually from your specific directory.
4. Run on PC new task CMD, e.g. terminal window. Change work directory to your specific, f.e. cd c:\COWON
Run execution tcctool.exe -d cowons9 "name of your FW file"(without quotes).bin
Attention, your FW file (iaudio9P_fw.bin for me) must be in same directory with executable tcctool!
5. After flashing your iAudio must be connected to PC immediately as USB flash device. So you must copy all firmware files (named *.bin) to root of your Cowon device memory. Then reboot, your player must updating firmware and working fine. If still no, try use tcctool to boot on once more, then reboot normally. Copying FW files again doesn't required.
Hey you don't give up!

Just not in the manual! I wish to clear all existing tracks and load it up afresh.

If you follow the instructions on page 19 of the manual, Connecting to PC and transferring files, you'll see in step 5 that
5. You can copy any files including MP3, JPG, and transcoded video files encoded by JetAudio VX to and from "iAUDIO" Drive.
I recommend you try to just remove all the mp3 files in your folder at once, by control clicking or shift clicking to select multiples that you want removed. Unless of course there are simply too many.
In that case, have you tried restoring the player to factory settings, as described on page 44 of the manual? (pictures not shown here)
5.1. Resetting the Player to Factory Default Settings
iAUDIO F2's settings can be deleted and re-initialized to Factory default settings.
1. After the player is turned on, select the Music mode.
2. If a music file plays, pause at the playback screen and do as shown below.
3.When, initialized, the Language setting screen will appear when the player is turned
- If the player operates improperly, press the "RESET" button at the bottom of the player and then restart the player. If malfunction continues, please initialize the player to Factory Default setting.
See this link for an online manual.
That's my recommendation. I'm going by the manual, though, as I don't own one of those players...I hope that's the information you were seeking.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Hi, i guess your mp3 player is malfunction. Might have been affected by Virus. You can reset it

How to reset mp3 player

SanDisk Sansa MP3 Players are portable devices that play music, video and share pictures. These particular MP3 players are popular options due to their use of MicroSD cards, which offer constant memory expansion by simply rotating the use of various SanDisk memory cards. As with many portable music devices, however, these players occasionally "freezes up" and needs to be reset to resume normal operation. This is a simple process that can be completed with minimal effort.

Slide the power button on your SanDisk Sansa MP3 player up.

Hold the power button on your Sansa in the up position for about 15 seconds. This action serves as a powering down of the Sansa device.

Wait for your Sansa MP3 player to restart and let go of the power button. Actions taken during your last operation since powering down normally have been deleted and your player is now reset.

just go to my computer open up your device, it will probably be removable disk, then if the music files are not there look for a music folder, or do a search for music files and identify which folder the music goes in, if its not the root folder

I would like to removed some music from my mp3

hi dear

Depending on how you connect that device, if you plug it through USB, then an icon should come up in "My Computer" as a removable disk, just go in that way and delete the files manually.

If your device comes with software, you could probably use the software to delete the music off of it that way.
