Lots of people would like to help but we cannot tell if you are an Eskimo or a Zulu, you need to at least give us a country, preferably a city as well.

Kitchenaid ksm90ww stand up mixer while mixing my aunt put in another mixing tool and it just stipped mixing wont turn on nothing I assume she blew the motor but does anyone know if theres a reset button...

It sounds like stripped gears, does the mixer still turn on? The beater just wont spin anymore?

If that is the case the worm gear probably stripped out, that is part number w10112253, or for a quicker easier fix you can get that gear in an assembly for a couple more dollars, that would be part number 240309-2.

Here is a link to those parts on our website:

Oil leaks out when tip up .around

KitchenAid uses a vegetable based grease inside of their mixers, it is a food safe grease. Because of this if you do not use your mixer often and over time the grease inside the mixer can begin to break down, and an oil will leak from the mixer.

What you will need to do is take the mixer apart, clean out the old grease and replace it with new KitchenAid grease, it is also recommended that you replace the gearbox gasket.

We are one of KitchenAid's largest service centers in the US, everything we sell is Genuine KitchenAid replacement parts.

Here is a link to the grease on our website: http://www.mendingshed.com/kagrease.html
And a link to the gearbox gasket: http://www.mendingshed.com/mixergasket.html

Also to aid you in the repair here is a link to the KitchenAid service manual for your mixer. this will show you how to take the mixer apart, replace the grease, and reassemble the mixer. http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/mendingshed/kitchenaid6qtservicemanual.pdf

How do I replace the oil that came out when the mixer was stored on its side?

Mary Ann,
There actually is not actual oil inside the mixer. There is however GREASE. When the grease gets old it can begin to separate and then leak out like oil. The grease needs to be replaced in the mixer. You can find online video's on how to that and where to get replacement grease.

We have model # KSM90WW. The problem is that the mixer portion hangs down too far into mixing bowl, thus making the mixer "buck" when mixing. Have tried to tighten everything that can be...

Till the top back and look into hinge area. You will see a large set screw that controls how far the head drops. Try turning the screw counter clockwise 1/8 of a turn.

Kitchen-aid stand mixer model ksm90ww has oil that leaks from around the silver piece that is located above where the attachments are mounted. What should I do ? thanks, Lamar

Pry the chrome drip ring off. You will find it is filled with oil. Clean it thoroughly, then tighten the screws which were uncovered when you removed the chrome "drip ring". It should stop leaking. If it leaks a little bit then the drip ring will catch the oil so it doesn't get into your dough or whatever you are mixing. It should last a few more years then you will probably have to repeat the procedure. They call it a drip ring for a reason, I guess kitchenaid knows they will leak sometime in the life of the machine so they put it on the mixer!!
