Question about PC Laptops

Hi there my laptop when i log on is coming up requiring bios password although i can log on using a dongle it wont let me get on using my wireless. i have no idea what the password is, is there a way around this?

What model and brand?
usually there can be a reset or cmos
setting to disable password hit f1 or escape
on bootup and see if you can get in there

Need to shut off bios password on my L300


Removing the BIOS battery will not reset the BIOS and remove the BIOS password.
On earilier model Toshiba a parallel port dongle will remove thw BIOS password.
