Question about BenQ FP71E 17" LCD Monitor

BENQ FP737S Monitor shows "No Signal Detected" on startup

In the last 2 days, this has been an intermittent fault on startup. Sometimes the monitor starts up Windows as usual when the computer and monitor are turned on and on other occasions the monitor just shows "no Signal Detected" (same happens if you turn the monitor off and on again at that stage). No changes have been made to the computer.

It was the computer, not the monitor or lead.

First problem could be the hdmi cable you are using is loose or broken.second, the display mode you selected was wrong, try to go to desktop and right click and choose nvdia control panel and choose the nview display mode to use, select the only use one display(single)and apply.

Hey, have you bene able to try another monitor and see if its the same thing?

Check andmake sure that all of your cables are tight and secure. If they are then you probably have a bad video card. they are fairly easy to replace:

How to troubleshoot my my benq t52wa that shows no signal detected

If the monitor is showing you a "no signal" message, it's almost certainly working fine. There's no video coming in from the computer, and that's likely where the problem is. Try another monitor first. It's possible yours isn't recognizing the input signal, but it's unlikely. I've only seen that happen twice I can remember. Chances are that another monitor will say "no signal" as well. Either the computer isn't starting up, or the video isn't working.

If you hear all the sounds of a normal startup (usually a single beep when the motherboard finishes power-on tests, hard drive activity shown by the front panel indicator, and finally the Windows startup sound through your speakers), then the video circuitry is bad. If the video is integrated onto the motherboard, you can install a replacement video card in an open expansion slot. If you already have a separate video card you can replace it.

If the computer isn't starting, you need to suspect memory, the motherboard, power supply or processor. You might also have a bad hard drive, optical drive or other device connected which is preventing startup. Begin by unplugging everything except the main parts: memory, processor and fan, power supply and (if used) video card. If the system starts up, you can identify the bad part by reconnecting them one at a time until the problem comes back. If the system still doesn't start with the minimum hardware, part substitution is how you'll figure out which is responsible.

It can be frustrating, but you'll get the thing going. Good luck, and thanks for using Fixya!

unplug from pc, turn on monitor. if there is a 'no signal' or any image displayed on the screen then the problem is not the monitor..

Benq 19' LCD Screen 3 yrs old- no signal detected on brand new PC

Have a look at the back of your computer.

See if there is more than 1 video port.

If there are 2 ports try plugging the monitor into the other port....

Sometimes motherboards have internal video cards, in this case the video port is in among the USB ports, sound and mike sockets etc.

Look for a video port away from all those other things.

BenQ fp737 monitor

Disconnect the signal cable from CPU and power on.You should get a BenQ Blue screen.
If no Display,Problem is definitely monitor related ie monitor has a hardware defect most probably the power/invertor board has a few blown components.
If you are technically able, you can dismantle monitor and check components on the Invertor board which you may find on my other posts.
Please reply if you need more help. Please rate this solution.
Thanks.
