Can't connect to internet wired or wireless with wbr-2310

Ok, this is my problem, I have had my router for the last 2 years and it had a few problems that was fixable. But now, I cant even get online and i do not know why. I have called DLink customer service 6 times in the last 2 days and they couldnt even figure it out. Also their agents need to stop reading those scripts verbatim. Any way, I can access my admin page and do all of the stps, but still cant connect to the net. I can connect directly but not through my router. I even set mcafee to trust my network. Can anyone help me get online? Also my Dlink came with Netowrk magic and I paid for their service. it says im connected alo, but none of my browsers let me on. Also I keep seeing something in the adapter ipv6 "limited Connectivity"

I am having exactly the same issue. I can connect if I hook my pc directly to the cable modem, but not when I connect via the router. Worked fine for the past 6+ months, but "died" this morning.

    :'(
I unfortunately have just encountered the same problem. If I connect directly to the modem I can get an internet no problem. I can access the settings on my D-Link router without being jacked in to it at all, and change all the settings. I cannot however, get any internet connection via wireless. Even after plugging in to LAN 1, I still can't get a lick of internet. I can still access all the settings of the router, with or without my wireless card on. It seems to be eating all my internet and leaving none for me.

This morning I could not connect to the internet at all as well. My local area connection icon is telling me that the local area connection is unplug eventhough it isn't. I even replaced my cables to make sure. I also cannot even access the admin router page.

I have and several problems like this previously were I had to reset the settings on the router to get it to work. For some reason it just quits working but now I cannot even access the page even look at it!

Anyone have any suggestions?...perhaps a different make of wireless router?

After cable co. split cable and installed another modem, D-Link WBR 2310 router no longer works with its original modem. Tried resetting, unplugging, etc. Can't get wireless.

Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to one of the LAN ports.
Click Start
Click Run
Type CMD
Press Enter
Type IPCONFIG
Press Enter
Look for a line of output like:

Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 123.468.32.1

Start Internet Explorer
Type http://123.468.32.1
Press Enter
Login to your router
Click to run the "Wireless Networking Setup Wizard", to:
1. set an SSID
2. set an encryption-level, e.g., 'WPA' or 'WPA2'
3. set a password for your network
Click OK to restart your computer

Use your wireless device to connect to that SSID, using that password that you set.]

Cannot connect to the internet through the D-Link WBR 2310

INSTALL WINDOWS XP LATEST UP-DATES, SP3 IS THE LAST UP-DATES PACKAGE, AFTER INSTALLING MICROSOFT XP SP3 UP-DATES, INSTALL THE LATEST FIRMWARE OF YOUR ROUTER, INTO YOUR ROUTER, THEN TRY TO CONNECT, I HOPE IT WILL WORK, ALSO CHECK IF YOUR FIRE WALL IS NOT BLOCKING YOUR ROUTER.

Will the WBR-2310 work with my wireless internet service. I don't have DSL or Cable or Satellite. I have a wireless service from a local provider.

Hi,

YES but you need a computer which will bypass your internet service from computer to router and then any wireless computer or any WAN enable device will access internet.

Share your wireless internet to Ethernet and connect with cable to router. WAN is now working.

But remember to configure your WLAN Router.

Error 313

Network connection showed 3 LAN or High-Speed Internet connections. One said it was disabled, another one had a big red X over it, and the last one said connected. The big red X, though unplugged, was apparently still active. The fix was as simple as disabling it.

2wire routers will only work with another device (router) if you will set it up to bridge mode. you need to go to the ip address of 2wire and check the box to enable routing.

D-LINK WBR-2310 SET-UP

Sounds like you need to 'copy' the mac address of the computer it was orginally hooked to before and put it into the router. Some routers have an option to do this in the settings menu of the router with one click.

Wireless and internet

1. Make sure that wireless settings are properly synchronized.
>> ssid/security key.
2. Check your computers wireless connection status
> Make sure that it is set to "obtain ip address automatically)
3. If still not working if computer is set to obtain ip automatically, try assigning static ip on wireless pc
> You need to know your router's ip address and dns
4. Disable firewall on wireless pc.
