On my kenmore dryer 970-c82062-00 I can get all 3 timers to start but the heated automatic dry portion does not time out.

that model number doesn't come up,you sure that isn't the serial number?also does the dryer have heat, when you run it on time dry the timer just counts down like a clock, when on auto or more or less the heat comes on until the dryer heats to temp. the heat shuts off and the timer will advance, when the heat comes back on the timer stops moving,it will do this until the clothes are dry,if you do have heat you could have a bad sensor or a bad cycling thermostat but you'll have to check it with a meter.send the model number and i can help you better.

I have a Whirlpool LER4634PQ1 it was working just fine then all of a sudden the dryer just keeps running the knob on the dryer doesn't move and the air isn't warm. Any suggestions on what to s

there is a cycling thermostat in line with the high limit thermostat and timer circuit,on timed dry its disabled and the timer will run no matter what,on any sensor dry setting it uses the heat of the element to heat this cycling thermostat to move the timer as the clothes get drier as the heating element heats the timer doesn't move, when the heater cycles off from the high limit thermostat then timer moves again, you need to find out if its a bad heating element, thermal fuse or possibly even a circuit breaker in the homes electrical panel tripped out on one of the 2 phases that gives you the 240 volts required to operate the dryer element, the breaker may not show its tripped,so shut it off and back on and try this first

Hotpoint nvl333gyoww gas dryer's timer stopped working and ran for an extended length of time (about a day). After looking over the dryer, i noticed that during the no heat cycle the timer would work. So...

the timer : if you use time dry the timer should always move and complete the cycle. if you use auto dry the timer uses a sensor to tell the timer to move. If your not getting any heat your sensor might not tell the timer to move.

So lets start with the no heat problem. First make sure your Vent is clear or just disconnect the vent and put a pair of womans stocking over the end to keep the dust down, This will ensure you do not have a blocked vent. ((( If you have a blocked vent on a gas dryer the safty sensor will shut off the gas valve and you will only get a little bit of heat))) Now try the dryer for small load, ((( if this solved your problem then you have a cloged vent )))

If this did not solve your problem then the coils on your gas valve in the dryer are probably bad.

Dryer is not heating. the dryer timer goes all

HI, The timer control module is the culprit. This device controls the heating functions of your unit. You have indicated that the timer will not stop the unit, and it continues to run after the cycles intended stopping point. This will confirm that the timer is damaged, and it should be replaced asap, if possible.

NOTE:-( Just to be safe, check the thermal fuse as well. This is a emergency cut-off fuse that will blow if the element overheats your unit. it is located on the blower housing, or vent duct inside the unit. Test the fuse for continuity. If it is ok, replace the timer).

Dryer not heating or turning off

It can be multiple problems. First are you using it on sensor dry or timed dry? If it is timed try, it's possible your timer is not advancing. If you are using sensor dry it could be your sensor.

To test the timer, check for continuity across the timer. If it is open, replace the timer.

To test sensor, run the dryer on sensor with nothing in it, if the timer advances quickly, the sensor is not the issue. If it does not advnace, it could be the sensor.

The no heat issue; check to make sure you don't have a blockage in the venting or in the dryer. If there is no blockage, check your element. To check if the element is not heating up, check for continuity through the sensor.

Hope that helps.
