Question about HP Pavilion a1410n (ER890AA) PC Desktop
Whenever i boot to windows i get this error msg due to which i get an entirely black screen and the whole system just freezes...not able to do anything...only thing that could be done is to power it down and again reattempt to start it on....could you tell me how can i get rid of this????

Attempt to successfully boot into Safe Mode With Networking (Tap the F8 button right after you turn on the computer until you get to a menu screen on a black background and use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select Safe Mode With Networking). If you can get to your Windows Desktop in Safe Mode, then the problem may be with a software that is on the computer. Do you have something on the computer called Delfin Media Viewer?

To resolve this issue, follow these steps (if you successfully booted into Safe Mode):
Create a name for the backup like - regbackup and save it to your C:\Drive
Click the button below that for ALL
Then Click Save
If you do not have the Delfina Media Viewer you may need to check your startup items. Click Start, then click Run and type in msconfig. A new Window will open up and then click the Startup Tab. You will ahve a list of programs that all start when Windows starts. You may need to go down the list and uncheck them one by one and reboot after each one to see if it is one of these that is causing the freeze. Also note, if you don't recognize the name of something in the list, Do Not uncheck it as you may disable start-up items the computer needs. Just uncheck progams that you recognize the name of.
As a last resort, you can restore your comptuer to a date when the computer was working properly.
Choose Restore My Computer to An Earlier Time
Choose the Date/Time closest to the time you remember the computer working properly, preferably one named "System Checkpoint"
Click Next, computer will reboot and attempt to restore it to the Date and Time you selected.
