You will probably have to reformat your memory card and reload the program from you Disc using a PC.

The best way to proceed is to visit the product web site, find a contact page and phone for tech support as there may be a know issue with your model and you would flash the firmware. This should be done under the guidance of their tech support.

There are other factors too, you may want to open it up, remove the memory card and check its state in a computer to see if its corrupted.

Let us know what you have tried already and how you make out.

Sounds like you may need to re-flash the software on the unit. You can download it from the company's website and flash it using the USB cable.

My Navman F20 does not recognize any zip codes or addresses in the Eastern USA time zones, which is where I travel.

My father had a similar problem with his Navman here in the UK. I discovered he had turned off sections of his mapping software in the Navman - take a look at Preferences -> Maps -> Manage Maps to see if any areas are turned off.

Screen is showing computer, usb connection, navman which are joined together by a serious of dots with the computer screen to usb connection showing green lights

The F20 Desktop Software and Service pack on the CD's from navman do not work, as you have seen. The solution is to go to the navman website and download this Service Pack

Be sure your f20 is connected to the USB cable and turned on displaying the USB Connection screen. Leave it on during the entire process.

Once downloaded, run this self extracting file and let it install automatically. After it is installed and ran.....you will see the same error again of failure to connect.

At this point you must reinstall the driver manually. Right click on your "My Computer icon, Select Devices, then properties on the navman. You should see a yellow "?" next to a statement "Unknown Device" in the USB devices. Click on the "Reinstall Driver" and select a specific location or the Have Disk button. The USB driver is now located in C:\program files\Navman\f20servicepack\USB directory.

You should get a button that now says Okay at the bottom, click onto it and allow the MS program to update the drivers. You should see the device screen change and say "This device is operating properly". You can then close the windows and run the F20 desktop program. It should connect then.

Navman My50T - screen has frozen, can't get any other screen apart from initial start-up screen (except for screen showing connected to computer when connected by usb).

Had a similar problem with a MY60T.
Spoke to Navman support.
1. Connect your unit to the computer.
2. Use windows explorer to go to the Navman folder
3. Go to the database folder.
4. Delete "Database.db"
5. Switch off & re-start you unit. The databse file is re-created on startup

Navman s80 freezes and states memory is full what do i do can you delete existing memory if so how do you do it

With Navman S80s screen froze only when trying to input home or destination address was working but suddenly started to screen freeze. Followed Gossages instruction and undid two bottom screw, then had to pop off side covers. Found two screws that where loose inside and floating around. Inspected the insides and found no Micro Card (clearly it is slightly different in manufacture) removed ribbon cable and re-installed, re assembled unit tested and everything back to normal, Ya? Dare say the loose screws floating around had caused a little short circuiting somewhere or perhaps ribbon cable connection was problem. Which ever a clean out of foreign material from inside did the trick?
