How do I unfreeze an initial screen before inputting an address?

My father had a similar problem with his Navman here in the UK. I discovered he had turned off sections of his mapping software in the Navman - take a look at Preferences -> Maps -> Manage Maps to see if any areas are turned off.

Had a similar problem with a MY60T.
Spoke to Navman support.
1. Connect your unit to the computer.
2. Use windows explorer to go to the Navman folder
3. Go to the database folder.
4. Delete "Database.db"
5. Switch off & re-start you unit. The databse file is re-created on startup

1. Connect Navman GPS to PC viamini-usb cable. 2. Go to 'Start' 3. Go to 'My Computer' 4. Open the 'Navman' folder 5. Open the 'Database' folder 6. Delete the following file only- 'dababase.db' 7. Close the folders 8. Disconnect the mini-USB cablethen restart the Navman GPS by sliding the switch to 'Restart' then back to'On' after 10 seconds. The unit shouldstart & the database.db file will be re-generated automatically.

With Navman S80s screen froze only when trying to input home or destination address was working but suddenly started to screen freeze. Followed Gossages instruction and undid two bottom screw, then had to pop off side covers. Found two screws that where loose inside and floating around. Inspected the insides and found no Micro Card (clearly it is slightly different in manufacture) removed ribbon cable and re-installed, re assembled unit tested and everything back to normal, Ya? Dare say the loose screws floating around had caused a little short circuiting somewhere or perhaps ribbon cable connection was problem. Which ever a clean out of foreign material from inside did the trick?

personally i would change the lithion battery. It seems that you are only getting the initial boost which is all a run down battery would give you.

just been on navman site,in tech surport it said hold on/off button down for 10seconds to reset.
im glad to say it works

it probably has a virus/bug, get it hard-reset once...

sometimes, the agreement screens will not go away until you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, then the I agree or similar button highlights and you can continue on.

i was in car,using navmanf10, went blank and a comput screen connect to unit appeared, cannot do anything with it
