Can't get closed captioning to work on westinghouse 46" 4680 led tv

What is the video source? Some set-top boxes send a closed caption signal that doesn't match the TV's CC interpreter. For those devices, you need to enable the captions on the set-top box.

I know how to enable captions on one particular Dish satellite box. The steps will depend on if your TV is TV1 or TV2 connected to the box. If the TV is TV2, you need to set the box in Single mode (so both TVs are set to the same channel). This is done with the Mode button on the box itself (highlight Yes and click Select using the Dish remote when prompted to go to Single Mode). If the box is in Single Mode, you won't get a prompt but the unit will go to Dual mode. There is a small LED on the box to indicate Single or Dual mode.

Next press Menu on the remote and go to Properties (9). Click Select and then navigate to Closed Captions (6). Click Select. Go to the Closed Caption On/Off line (1) and press the left arrow and then the up/down arrow to set to the captions to On. Press the right arrow and then Select with Done highlighted. Exit the Menu by hitting Cancel repeatedly.

I hope this helps.

There must be something simple I am doing wrong. On a D700 body, I can't seem to trip the shutter in any aperture other than f16.

I have a Nikon D60, and it has numerous settings, including aperture and shutter priority, and others. It sounds like you have have it set in aperture mode, set for f/16. First try taking a picture in dimmer light, where it's not so bright. That should cause the shutter to open longer. The camera will adjust the shutter speed to take the best picture at f/16 if it's set for that.To adjust it to something other than f/16, on my camera, you use the thumb wheel on the back of the camera. Try changing that if it has a thumb wheel.

Next try it in Auto mode by rotating the dial on the top of the camera to the green setting and see if you get a batter picture.

If all else fails, consult the camera manual, if you have one.

Good luck!

My N70 when im calling is always in 'network busy',while compere to other cellphone they can easily call.pls help me. thanks.

Try to check your network signal if it's stable or dropping, also try to transfer your simcard to other phone and see if the problem is still the same.try check the settings of your network if you are using 3g or dual mode or only gsm mode, sometimes dual mode signal is not consistent by going to settings > phone > network and set it to gsm mode.

another way is formatting or resetting your phone, back up all necessary data first before proceeding,on your home screen type *#7370#, a lock code will be ask.enter the desire code or 12345 as the default code, then it will reboot automatically. Now try the signal if its ok.

If the above method doesn't work, might be a hardware problem and let a mobile service technician fix this problem,so you can find out what particular problem takes place.

Manual that came with camera does not explain symbols for setting the mode. Amazing! What do M, A,S,P, N and SP 1 and SP2 stand for? the only things I understand are Auto and Panorama.

M stands for 'Manual mode'. This is the mode wherein you set your shutter speed and aperture setting. A stands for 'Aperture Priority'. This is the mode where you set the aperture or opening of the lens and the camera sets the shutter speed. The lower the aperture number setting, the more light penetrates the lens, a faster shutter speed is needed. This setting is usually used for portrait scenarios. S stands for 'Shutter priority'. This is the mode where you set the shutter speed and the camera sets the aperture. The higher shutter speed number, the lower aperture number is set by the camera to accommodate more light into the lens. This setting is usually used for capturing moving objects like cars. P stands for 'Program Mode'. The camera takes care of different settings except for the aperture and the shutter speed. You get to choose combinations of aperture and shutter speed settings that will not change the exposure of your scene. This is like a combined 'A' and 'S' mode with different combinations. N stands for 'Natural Light'. The camera tries to make use of available light. This is ideal for indoor use when flash is prohibited or when you just want to capture the ambiance of the scene. The camera sets a high sensitivity setting to handle low light conditions. The drawback of this would be grainier pictures. SP1 and SP2 stand for Scene Position 1 and 2. This is like a memory setting for most commonly used scene settings. For example, you can assign SP1 for landscape mode scene and SP2 for night mode scene. You have 13 scenes to choose from in your camera, 2 of which you can assign in SP1 or SP2. The default setting for SP1 is Portrait mode and for SP2, it is Landscape mode.
Hope this helps.

Does this card support dual screen mode? I just bought a monitor that I'd like to use with my HP Pavilion dv6t. I can't set the resolution higher than 1366 x 768. I am told that if the video card must...

Dual screen mode? You mean dual monitor mode?
But anyways, the maximum resolution that you can obtain on your Pavilion dv6t is 1366x768 unless you attach an external monitor. Even then, only the external monitor can go above 1366x768 resolution. You're laptop screen will remain at 1366x768 max.

My Fuji s2000 always shoots picture that are blured. I have tried many settings and different exposures however I keep getting the same result. What can I do ? The worst mode on this camera is the auto...

Found the same thing and I think the answer is the opposite of previous suggestions. The s2000 is truly awful at anything above about 400ASA The degree of pixel binning it uses just makes the pictures look terrible. Force the camera to use 400 or slower (lower numbers), force flash and I think you'll see a great difference. I was on the verge of sending mine back before I discovered this.
