It says that the hard disks sysem corrupted

Hi. This is an unfortunate occurence . The actual hard disk has corrupt clusters at this time. The only recourse will be to replace the damaged hard disk. With that said, if you have recently updated your firmware, this may cause this message as well, due to a corrupt firmware update pack. If you have not recently updated your units firmware, the necessary actions are to have the damaged hard disk replaced by a certified sony repair depot. This repair may be free of charge if the unit was purchased within a six month period, but if not, you may be charged a shipping fee, if any. contact sony asap for your repair ticket.

It will not power on. The name garmin is on the screen with a black background.what could the problem be?

A Garmin Nuvi 1300 that won't start, freezes on 'loading maps,' or is acting erratically is symptomatic of having corrupt firmware.

To correct this, I recommend backing up your favorites, clearing all user data, and if it still is stuck, then updating your Nuvi firmware.

Follow these three steps to take to get your Garmin Nuvi 1300 running like new:

  1. Back up your Favorites.
  2. Perform a Hard Reset.
  3. Download and then run Garmin WebUpdater to replace its firmware / system software.

I hope that helps.

Dvdr 3455H/97 hard disk unable to reboot

from krystle i am an electronic tec:
what i have found the big difference between the philips dvdr3455h and the dvdr3575h is the
dvdr3455h boot from software on the hard drive and the dvdr3575h boot from an eprom.
the dvdr3455 has both booth software and movie edit software, if the hard drive become
bad in the 3455 or the software become corrupted it wil hang at the philips logo screen.
the dvdr3575h will boot with a bad hard drive or no hard drive at all you will you wont be able to
capture your video to the hard drive.
if the movie edit software become corrupt or damage when you press record button
it will just lock up the recorder.you will need a software reload if the software become corrupt.

if you need a reload on your hard drie email me i will tell you what you need to do my email is krystle913@yahoo.com

Hard disc file corrupted-how do you repair?

you need a new hard drive. this will void your warranty but you can replace your original hard drive with another one of the same type (IDE / SATA) and all you should have to do is pop in the drive and it will ask to reformat the drive, say yes and let it go. then you can start playing your games again. if that dosn't work then your firmware is corrupt/damaged and you will need a new ps3. just take the hard disk out and use it in your computer or sell it on ebay. other than that, keep the busted ps3 for spare parts in case the 'new' one needs a new bluray drive in the somewhat near future.
