My ibm think centre trys to turn on but doesnt completely....
I just plugged in a monitor to my ibm think centre and the computer starts to reboot when i turn it on but it doesnt finish and then keeps repeating the same try to reboot

Try going into the Bios or System Setup and see if there are some settings for System Security or Asset ID Antenna. It sounds like something is set in the Bios. Turn the computer off, then turn it back on and watch the screen for which key it says to hit to get into the Bios or System Setup. Hit the key when you see the message or it will not work and you will have to reboot and try again.
check for bulging capacitors on the power supply board.if any are bulged their bad.mine was blinking ibm logo i found 2 capacitors bulged i replaced those it works fine.
i think i have the same problem , i also have an ibm r50e and one day when i tried to turn it on it did the same thing . all the lights turn on and the only the battery and the left side light with akind of ray inside a circle stand on , it started on after a severl intents but im worried about the situation , i been looking on the web for the solution and your comment is the only thing i have found about the problem i will continue looking for the solution or cause . Hi , if your dont have any data, try to get the IBM Netfinity CD for 4000r which supporting the OS 2003. Usually IBM provide a cd on each NEtfinity server. Check on the IBM website for more details about your Server Compatibility on 2003 server.
