I have an Onkyo Tsxr 577 amp. The wires on the speakers crossed and the amp stopped working. It might be in autoprotect mode and I don't know how to reset it.

The amp protection circuit has been activated. Remove the power cord from the wall outlet immediately. Disconnect all speaker cables and input sources, and leave the AV receiver with its power cord disconnected for 1 hour. After that, reconnect the power cord and reconnect an input and a pair of speaker wires onto the unit. If the receiver still does not turn on than you will have to bring it in for service. Turn up the volume and if the receiver doesn't shut down, power off the receiver and add another pair of speakers. Power up the unit again and turn up the volume. If it doesn't shut down, power off the unit again. Now connect all your input sources and turn on your receiver. If the unit shuts down again, your unit will need to be further serviced at an authorized Onkyo service center.

To obtain service, take or ship your Onkyo product to an Onkyo Authorized Service Center. Please also include in any mailing a contact name, address and telephone number. Please include a copy of the original sales receipt/invoice as well as a letter stating what the problem is, with your name address and phone number so the service center knows who to return the unit to. Please note, before shipping, you must contact the authorized service center to inform them that you will be sending your unit in for repair.

HOW DO I GET RID OF STATIC IN MY STILETTO 2 CAR DOCK

First, you have to find out if the intereference is coming from your power supply or your FM radio. Are you listening to the Stiletto2 on your car FM radio? Is you car FM antenna visible? First try using a different FM frequency - that is the most simple fix. Second, if you car radio has an "AUX" input jack, use that to eliminate static. If the interference is from the car ignition, that is most difficult to eliminate, but you can try a clip-on ferrite ring on your power cord.
In summary, try a different FM frequency, 2nd, try using an AUX input cable, and if you've done either of those, then the noise may be in the power. Make sure to turn the AUDIO OUPUT level of the Stiletto2 all the way up so that your car radio won't have to be up so loud. Go luck, and let me know if this works for you. Happy New Year too!

Power cord

http://telephones.att.com/docMgt/public/art/162/1717_manual.pdf

The power cord is
Input: 120V, 60 Hz.
Output: 9V AC, 400 mA.

So , there is no need to worry about Polarity here. Just make sure , the output voltage is around 9V. DC input is ok. since there is bridge rectifier inside.

I have just come into possession of 5 e200 w/out power cord.

If it is NEW that is from the factory as opposed to new to you it should come with out a power cord or power adaptor. A good guess is if it is externally powered it will want a 12 volt supply. One way of finding out is to examine carefully the the power input socket. If it is a small co-axial one with a square in square symbol with an indication witch is the 'live' pole then it is a low voltage from an external supply. This being so- a Universal stabilized power supply should do it. These come with a slider switch for various voltages, and a strip of connectors also colour coded at the tip. Also the various sizes match various voltages this means that one connector one voltage. So when you have got a supply pack take a connector on its own not attached to the cord and offer it to the power input. The one that fits is the one you want - so select the voltage to the appropriate colour. It is possible it may not work All you have to do then is unplug the connector from the cord and reverse the polarity.
