SOURCE: Rolex ad Daytona 1992 replica
The large sweep second hand should NOT move - it only counts seconds when you use the stopwatch functions. The running seconds for the TOD (time of day) function are read on the left subdial. At least this is the way a real Rolex works - you could be on your own w/ a replica

SOURCE: we are trying to figure
There are a few things to check..
Most reproductions/fake Daytonas have a second hand that moves.. if your second/sweep hand is moving like a standard second hand.. you have a fake.
The real Daytona's second hand remains at the 12 position as it is part of the stopwatch function and only moves when activated.
A few other things you can check.. if the three mini dials refer to months or days it's a fake.
If anything is engraved on the back of this watch.. it's a fake
Rolex engraves a serial number between the lugs.. some fakes duplicate this..but generally not very well.
Lastly if you have none of these issues.. the final way to be sure is to have the back removed and have the movement verified.
Best of luck

SOURCE: Rolex...real or fake how do you
There are a couple of things to look at first. If it has a date displ;ayed on the face, the magnifier on the crystal appears like a small bubble on the crystal. If it's flat, it's probably a knockoff. Rolex also laser etches a tiny image of their logo on the crystal next to the crown. You'll need a magnifier to see it. If it's missing it's fake. If it has a see through back it's fake. Last, check the serial # against the Rolex on-line database of serial #s'.

?
To give an estimate of your watch, the data submitted by you is incomplete.
What metal the case and bracelet is made of? Colour?
Colour and specifications of dial ( day, date, diamonds, etc.)?
Is the watch in good working order?
Any scratches on glass?
Does it comes with all relevant papers and box?
Unless you provide this info, I can say: from £100.00 to £1700.00.
in case if it's stainless steel.
