Check its secondary power supply voltage from SMPS power supply. Check the smoothing capacitor connected to secondary power supply voltage, replace it.

My tv doesn't stay on - i plug it in & turn it on but a blue screen comes on & in 5 seconds the tv shuts off & the power button red lite just blinks

I think theres a problem in the power supply of your televesions. If the power supply heve leak or shorted parts at the circuit,it may shut off and not continous to power on.So it better to repair and trouble shoot the power supply.

Sanyo tv model no. ST-21G1 power indicator is just blinking it does not oscillate the horizontal output. what is the possible problem or parts to be replaced?

Check if Horizontal ouput is shorted.Check if you have B+ (135VDC) power supply and secondary supplies working(12VDC, 5VDC) and check if you have horiz. drive pulse from drive transformer.
A common fault for dead set is the capacitors in the power supply (secondary of transformer) - no 12VDC supply.

Power supply problem.no secondary output voltage

I would stick to replacing the whole power supply rather than bits and pieces.

The website above sells PS2 power supplies.

If you want to try and replace bits and pieces, you can probably find individual components at Radio Shack... but you would have to be good at troubleshooting and soldering.

Televesion went blank

Failure in the power supply, and or scan amplifiers, or high voltage area. Needs troubleshooting by an experienced TV tech.

The general strategy is to unload the power supply until it comes up. Then fix or replace that circuit. If you can figure out which cable runs power to the convergence circuit - try that first. Also try disconnecting the CRT anode leads one at a time (if that does it then you got a bad CRT). If still no nada, then get a schematic and dive into the power supply board
