It depends on the level set on for the wash when the program is chosen. If the quantity of clothes are in the medium range , I think you will need about 15-20 litres of water.

SOURCE: Rinse water fills the washing machine when the spin cycle starts

Check your outlet filter, most likely it is blocked, preventing the water from draining out. Chk your pump too. Before this disconnect from the wall socket; and also check the pipe coming from the tub to the filter. Siphon out the excess water from inside the machine before you open the pipes.

Hi deppgirl,
I checked the lint filter at the front bottom left hand side and it was full of junk.  Once emptied it worked a treat.  Pull the flap down and turn the large knob anti-clockwise and pull to remove.  Good luck.

SOURCE: water barely trickles out for rinse cycle

Hello,

It sounds like you have some buildup in the cold water valve screen. Where the hose connects to the washer there should be a screen inside the valve. Remove the cold water hose from the washer and clear any debri on the valve screen.

If this doesn't fix the slow cold water flow then you will have to replace the whole water valve assembly. The water valve is the piece that the hoses connect too and supply water to the washer.

If you have anymore questions about this please ask. I will be more than happy to help you out.

Thanks

SOURCE: Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

How do you wire the dryer MDE300AYW

Instructions
    • 1 Remove the lint screen from the dryer. If you are unsure how to remove the lint trap, refer to your owner's manual, as removal directions vary among Maytag models.
    • 2 Use your fingers to remove large chunks of lint from the lint screen. You should remove the lint from the lint trap after every load.
    • 3 Run the lint screen under the faucet. Use hot water and thoroughly wet down both sides.
    • 4 Scrub both sides of the lint screen with a wet nylon scrub brush. Rinse the screen again under hot water to remove loosened buildup. Allow the lint screen to air-dry on a towel before putting it back inside of the dryer.
    • 5 Make a paste of powdered laundry soap and warm water into a small bowl. Use three parts powdered detergent to one part water. Stir with a spoon until a paste forms.
    • 6 Dip a soft rag into the paste. Wipe down the entire interior of the dirty Maytag dryer with the rag and paste. Apply more paste to the cloth as needed.
    • 7 Rinse the interior of the dryer with a damp rag to remove the paste.
    • 8 Dry a load of damp towels in the Maytag dryer. Run a complete dry cycle to remove any residue left inside.
    • 9 Wipe down the exterior of the dryer with a rag moistened with all-purpose household cleaner. You can also use the household cleaner to remove certain stains from the interior of the dryer. Make sure the cleaner you are using is noninflammable.

How to clean a wash machine

Regularly clean the top and door of the washer to prevent the buildup of dirt and detergent. When you wash very linty materials, remove lint from the tub after removing the laundry. Soap deposits may cause laundry to smell bad. To solve this problem, fill the tub with water and add 1 pound of water softener or 1 gallon of white vinegar; then run the machine through the complete wash cycle. If the deposits are really bad, wash the inside of the tub with a solution of household ammonia and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and wipe the tub with liquid bleach. Caution: Rinse the tub thoroughly before wiping it out with bleach. Ammonia and bleach can combine to form a very dangerous gas.
Finally, run the machine through a complete wash cycle before you put any more laundry in.

My washer is less than 2 years old. Today it stoped running during the drain/spin cycle. Ld waon the read out. I tried to rebalance the load. No luck. I took out the laundry. No luck In order to get...

Hello,

If your washer is indeed a WFL2066, than the not spinning is directly relatedto the unit not draining.

These machines by design cannot spin if the drain is inadequate.

Here is the first step in resolving the problem, you need to access the drainpump/filter to clean it.

To reach the filter and clean it...

**Unplug the washer from the dryer or wall, or turn off the 30amp breakerat the home service panel...safety first**

1) Open the small square plastic door at the right bottom of thewasher.

2) Via the small hose drain any access water from the pump...this is where awet/dry shop-vac comes in handy, or a shallow pan with a few towels works aswell.

3) Then turn the pump insert/button trap counter clock-wise and pull out.Clean the trap out thoroughly running it under hot water and mild soap or yourwasher detergent and inspect inside the pump for any other foreignobjects/obstructions.

4) Re-install the lint trap insuring it is good and snug/tight. Beforeclosing up the small access door, run a short rinse spin cycle to check forleaks.
Thanks

Prblems with Kemore washer

Clean your washing machine before your next wash load to be sure there is no lint trapped anywhere in the machine. Fill the tub about half full of water then add a couple of cups of white vinegar to the wash water. Allow it to agitate and then sit there and soak for at least an hour before you empty the machine.
Lint is small fibers from clothing that have come loose from natural wear or laundering. They can build up in washers and wreak havoc on your clothing. The dryer will remove the lint. But with clothing, like dress shirts that are air-dried, this can be a real problem; often requiring multiple washings to remove the lint. Older washers came standard with removable lint traps that could be cleaned. Some would filter the water as it recycled through the washer, while others would require the removal of the center tub support for cleaning.
Newer washers have a self cleaning system that uses a filter to trap the lint and the spin cycle to flush it away. It saves the inconvenience of having to manually clean the filter.
If you have a lint problem, here are a few tips to try:
1) Low water pressure can impede the flushing action of the washer during the spin cycle. Look for pressure variations during filling of both hot and cold water. A kinked or blocked hose can cause this. Check for sediment in the hose as well.
2) Verify that the all of the water is being pumped out of tub and that no restriction in the drain hose exists.
3) Don't wash high lint producing items like socks and towels with your dress shirts.
4) Use a name brand detergent. They have higher quality cleaners and soften the water better, which helps release the bond between lint and clothing, allowing it be flushed away.
5) Don't overload the washer. Your washer needs water and room to remove the lint.
6) Run a wash cycle with a cup of regular white vinegar added. This will help rid your washer of any accumulated lint.
A washer doesn't produce enough lint to have any effect on a septic system, so a separate washer filter is not necessary.

Add a cup of either white or cider vinegar to your washing machine along with the detergent before loading in your clothes to keep lint off.

Sort out all towels and washcloths since they create lint. Put them through a separate wash cycle to keep them from transferring lint to your clothes.

Check the labels on all your clothing to be sure you sort them correctly. Cotton clothing produces lint in the washing machine while polyester clothing picks it up. Wash them at different times to keep the lint off those that are likely to pick it up.

Turn your clothes inside out before putting them into the washing machine to keep them from collecting lint as they go through the wash cycle

Same Problem.. not able to find the lint filter on EWD1477

Lou, thanks for your answer, but I think that the original question is to do with the 'mysterious lint trap' that is mentioned in the manual but isnt actually a part of the machine (ie, its a typo / incorrectly edited manual - copied from another model)

The thing we are trying to find is the lint trap for the condenser unit, which is not the same as the drain pump/filter/trap on the bottom right of the unit (or, at least, shouldn't be - if it existed).

I think this model has a specially designed condenser unit that somehow cleans itself from the action of the washing clothes (in your next run), and flushes the lint from any previous drying cycles away with the rinse water during the next wash.

To help keep things clean, you could try to dissolve or at least break up any gunk buildup inside your machine (likely if your not using the 95 degrees C wash temp setting) by using lots of concentrated bleach (at max temp). However, this could damage the machine, but in my experience it is OK. I am not a employee of electrolux nor am I a service person :)
