SOURCE: dryer won't start

Had this same problem on a Nexxt 500 plus dryer. First, go outside and put up a clothes line so the wet clothes are out of the way :) LOL Anyhow to access the belt pulley fand the little switch, you have to remove the top and rear. First unplug everything. Then get a Torx T-20 driver. There are three kinds of screws so go slowly and keep them separate! Remove the top (two small screws at rear). Unplug the power cable and the ground wire. Remove most (not all!) the screws around the outer edge; several do not go thru the back panel and stay in. Finally remove all the screws in the center of the rear panel. The rear panel should left off easily. The tan box with the two thumb-tack like pins that are surrounded with springs should be easily visible at the bottom. Push the one that's out in space, away from a vertical steel piece. You should hear a little click. Reassemble (you kept the 3 kinds of screws separate, right?) and test.

ROPER MODEL RED4640YQ0. DRYER WILL NOT HEAT.THERMOSTATS AND HEATING ELEMENT GOOD

What I do is basically remove the drum and look for signs of lint. I clean it all up then check all the components removing a wire from each to get a good read. After you made dang sure all of them thangs have continuity you need to first make sure you have 240 volts going into the machine. The motor on dryers is 120 volt and runs on a separate circuit from the 5000 watt 240 volt heating element. So the dryer will run if the cord is bad or not connect corect OR the circuit breaker is bad OR tripped due to some sort of shorted wiring in the receptacle OR a bad receptacle. So after you know that is fine you gotta check the timer. Find the thick red wire going into the timer from the heating circuit (usually marked RH) remove it from the timer. Set the timer on a heating circuit like cotton or permapress and check between that terminal of the timer and all other terminals on the timer. If you cannot get a reading then your timer is fried inside and is in need of replacement. Google Roper dryer no heat and my video will show up. I did a couple on youtube. Estate dryer also on my youtube channel is a nice video. I have service manuals also on my youtube channel.

Where do I find the reset button on my Bosch Nexxt 500 series dryer? The dryer will run, but no heat is coming out.

Have a Nexxt 3300 and believe yours is about the same so yes, several screws to remove from the back. Top also has to come off because two screws to the back are under the top. And for the top to come off the control panel has to be pulled away. Only four screws under four white caps to remove for panel to be loosened. The top is attached with two screws in the back and four nylon clips under the top. The red reset button will be easy to see after removing the back. It is attached to the heating element housing. It is not hard to do, just a pain to get to the reset button. PANEL DOES NOT ILLUMINATE AND NOTHING WORKS PRODUCT IS RECEIVING 240 VOLT POWER.

check the cord on the back of the dryer itself as sometimes the power cord disconnects or burns at the dryer, if this is the case, the wiring and the terminal block must be repaired or replaced. Maybe the door switch also. Good Luck Tim
