How to play a dvd on the samsong? don't know how to connect the red yellow and white wirews?

You just have to match the color of the plug to the color connector on the TV and on the DVD.
Look for something like AV1, or Video 1 on the TV. It should have Yellow jack for the Video, and RED and WHITE jack for the Audio Right and Left channels, same thing applied to the jacks on the DVD player.
The just select AV1 using the remote control, just look for 'INPUT', or 'SOURCE' bottun on the remote.

Some buttons on my remote for my yamaha htr 5750 amp don't work. It's the original and was given to me. The volume and power buttons don't work or make the red lite flash; however the other...

Read this procedure to possibly fix the remote:
http://remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Display&contents=help_deadremote&uuid=A12963989782821
They also sell replacement remotes.
Zoom in on the picture of the original remote provided on the site (or look at your own) and get the actual remote model number.

or check eBay: search for "(model of the device or the remote) remote", check the 'include description' box. Usually cheaper than the vendors.

The dvd plays but there is no audio, just crackling sound.

If the audio works good otherwise (you can play some Windows sounds or go on Youtube and play a clip), then you likely have a partially bad DVD drive. I've seen partially bad DVD drives that had done exactly that. Don't know what model HP you have, but HP usually puts out its service manuals on its website and getting a DVD dive replaced yourself shouldn't be overly difficult. Best place to buy a replacement drive would be on eBay, and anything other than a DVD-write should be pretty cheap ($10-$20); DVD-writers cost slightly more.

I have a Pioneervsx-1021k AV Receiver and all the buttons were working fine until I decided to play with the remote. Now some of the buttons light up, and some don't. I have found that not being able...

Hello
Just reset the system and try. So many external commands may confuse the system control IC inside, will hang up very like our computer systmes do. Resetting it to factory settings will make the unit work well. To reset the system:

Disconnect the iPod and USB memory
device from the receiver beforehand
1# Switch the receiver into standby.

2# While holding down ENTER on the front

panel, press STANDBY/ON.
The display shows RESET .

3# Select 'RESET' using PRESET then

press ENTER on the front panel.
The display shows RESET? OK.

4# Press ENTER to confirm.

OK appears in the display to indicate that the
receiver has been reset to the factory default settings.

Note that all settings will be saved, even if
the receiver is unplugged.
If this process does not help you, your system needs service with its main system control circuit. Actually this is a very skilled job, and should be done either by any well experienced service technician or by the Authorised Service Center for Pioneer at your town. OK.

I have a Toyota Corolla with a Valet remote car starter and the car keeps starting on it's on without us using the remote.

Does it only do it in one location, or wherever you are? If it's one location, it's likely one of the neighbors has a similarly coded remote that is triggering your start. If it happens randomly, and everywhere, the main unit has issues and should be repaired/replaced. I don't know if they still do, but DEI used to have a lifetime warranty on everything but their remotes.

There is a remote possibility that it's one of the remotes, as well. You could try pulling the battery out of a remote and wait to see if it happens again. If it does, put that battery back and do the same on the next. If all the remotes check out, and you don't have kids/dogs/cats playing with the remotes, it's back to the top of this reply.

Good luck.

My Whafedale WH-AV4337 remote switches the unit on and off but will no longer feed the TV sound to my speakers. The AV (Digi) flashes "unlock". I don't have a user's manual. Any...

Hmm, I don't know why the emphasis is in the remote here.

Front panel switches still exist on most products so ramble across the room and try touching it with your finger so we don't have to factor in a possible remote malfunction.

I can't locate a free manual anywhere but YOU should contact Wharfedale and ask them where you could get one because the website only lists a handful of speaker downloads.

http://www.wharfedale.co.uk/Home/tabid/37/Default.aspx

However the digital audio for the "AV" is arriving, it is probably not syncing up or the signal / cable is failing or disconnected. Try swapping with known good cables or input jacks.
