I have a Samsung Blackjack II and the battery suddenly went completely dead and now won't charge. I left it plugged in all day and came home to find that the indicator light was still red. I tried moving the phone to a different plug to see if that'd help, but it had no effect. Please help!

Re: battery won't charge
This is a hardware problem for sure. If you still have warranty bring it back to the shop. Likely this is a problem in the phone not with the battery. Also check the connectors on the battery and on the phone (where the battery connects with the phone) maybe the connectors aren't touching 100% (or not at all) and also try cleaning them (not with water of course).
Any suggestions on how to best clean the connectors? I have a similar problem, but I think my issue is that the area where the charger plugs into the phone is dirty. I'm afraid of damaging the pins. What's the best way to clean?

Issue with either battery, charging port on phone, or charger. Attempt replacement of charger or different outlet first. Then battery replacement, about $50. Then phone replacement (hope you're eligible for warranty or have insurance if you don't want to upgrade).
Yes you sure can. http://www.extremepda.com/BJIIUSBCABLE.html
This is a link to "Samsung BlackJack II USB Charging Data Cable". This is all you will need to connect your phone to your computer via USB port and charge it.
This has happened to my Blackjack II and I've found if I plug it into the charger then plug the charger into the wall, the phone comes right on. It's a pain, however, if I'm not at home when it decides to do this since no amount of button pushing will turn it back on, it acts like the battery is dead (when I know it isn't!)
BTW, I've have to have my SIM card switched out twice and the battery replaced 4 times since I bought this phone brand new in February......
I have a solution. Call at&t. they will send you a new one. I have had my phone for 5 months and it happened to me also. There's a warranty on the phone itself that covers it from the day "you" started using it. I bought mine from a friend. Cool!! It should be here in 5 days free shipping.
