Question about Cell Phones
You can unlock your phone yourself from home. Note that you do need a special unlock cable for this phone, original usb cable that comes with the phone will NOT work.

SOURCE: asking simlock code
The sim lock code is the code that you will use to safe guard your sim card. If you do not know this then its best to imput the wrong code 3 times and then ask your service provider for you PUK code that they will provide free. After you imput the PUK code your phone will ask you for a new sime code of your choice.

SOURCE: Disable Sim Lock.
that's a big problem.. your phone can't no longer help on how to disable the sim lock unless your son knows the code and disable it using your phone.
if he do, then go to settings then go to security settings (11) then go to sim lock (2).. turn it off and that's it.. just key in the correct code.
