Hello! take the ear piece and unfold it to 45 degrees, than pull it off . see the little splits on the end where the earpeace goes onto the body off the tooth? thats motos design for slipping it off the pins. than turn the earpiece around and put er back on. a little bit of a tussle till you get use to it. if your confused as i was put the earpeace on your other ear and the light will turn on and youll go (like me) oh yea!! i see, than youll go easy breezy. good luck. m.m.

In recent days my headset (590A) has only been transmitting sound on the right ear via bluetooth connection, when I use the 3.5mm jack (connected to left ear) both ears work. Is there a fix for...

Your headset can be used as stereo headphones or a wireless microphone for a bluetooth enabled device like a cell phone or a computer. When you plug the headphones into a device with the 3.5mm jack the headset automatically turns into stereo headphones and disables the microphone(headphone mode). It sounds like whatever device your headset is connected to via bluetooth is using the wireless microphone protocol where sound only comes through the one speaker and the microphone is on(microphone mode). The bluetooth protocol settings of your device may have been changed accidentally. You will need to go into the bluettoth settings of your device you are using with your headset and change the protocol. If it is a cell phone you will need to go into the bluetooth settings in the settings menu. If it is a computer your can adjust the bluetooth settings in the control panel.

You can download the pdf file of your instruction manual for your headset here

I hope this was helpful and let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for using FixYa

that device hangs from your ear the arch goes on top of the ear, try to push it in to your ear a little not all the way in and you can change the side left or right just snap it off and turn it the other way , then just adjust the boom try to set it to the side of your mouth then just plug it to the device

check if any of the wires are loose inside the thing that turns up the volume. the left and right ear wires are inside of that. i had the same problem with the right ear, all i had to do was solder the wire back on the chip.

Bose Aviation headset Series 2 has high-pitched squeal.

Try wearing the headset the "wrong way". The left side of the headset on your right ear & the right side of the headset on your left ear. I have the QC15 with the same problem and it worked for me. Good luck!

A Bose headset is buzzing

The speaker in that Ear Cup may be blown. You should consider replacing the set with a newer one.

If you listen to this with that static noise you risk serious injury to your ear.

Changing earpiece

•First take your  device and hold it vertical.
•Looking at the earpiece that ressembles somewhat Alladin lamp, it's tip is positioned either at past 20 (for right ear) or before 20 (for left ear).
•Depending if it's one side or the other, you should turn the earpiece clockwise to 30 or counterclockwise to 30. So the "tip of the lamp", which is the ear channel of the earpiece in fact, is indeed at 30 past the hour.
•Then pull it out with a round motion downward, assuming the upper part is the blue light.
You can then change the side of the ear wire and or the earpiece for a different size supplied by RIM when you bought the device. I don't know how/where to get new earpieces. They don't seem to sell them separately...which is rather frustrating considering the price they sell this device!

Loose on ear

Had the same issue with a Motorola HS820. Motorola technical support was clueless. I finally detached the earhook as per the instructions for switching from right to left ear use. Soaked the earhook in a mug of boiling water (caution: boiling water can burn you) until it was soft and flexible, then bent the hook into a tighter curl, then held it that way under a cold stream of water until it set in the new, tighter shape. Replace earhook on headset. You may need to repeat this procedure from time to time.
