Go to the bottom of your toolbar on the right there is a little icon with a speaker. Right click on that and choose Playback Devices and choose what speakers you want by right clicking and enabling them. Thanks!

SOURCE: audio problem

Hello Manu,

The issue you are facing is due to the incompatability of the audio drivers on the notebook.

Follow the below steps:

Uninstall current audio driver form the notebook.

Then downlod the audio driver from the following link:

http://cid-3a2fd42defd10b67.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/Public/Audio%20driver.zip

After downloading the file please extract the files to a folder on the desktop.
Follow the below steps to install the driver correctly:

1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver.
3. Select not at this time, click on next and Select "Install from a list or specific location".
4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"
5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list.
6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
7. Click Browse, Choose the location where you have saved the extracted folder.
8. Open the folder and choose the .inf file listed.
9. Ignore any errors you receive and proceed with the installation.

I can't get my Braven 570 bluetooth speakers to connect to anything using bluetooth

Hi,these devices like bluetooth hand set or speakers must be paired in the master device, for example turn the speaker on make sure its blutooth is visible too all and find it with your phone device if your phone can see it try to go to option and make a new pair device,if your phone cant see it you may have problem with the speaker, try to read manual,if you still have problem, something goes wrong with device, and if it works successfully you can pair it in the laptops or PCs
kind regards

No sound

Audio is intergrated in most of the programs on a Windows XP-based laptop computer, especially those that play video games and movies. If the audio is not functioning properly, you need to troubleshoot the issue. Typically, this is a quick process that requires only a few different system checks to correct the problem.

1. Double-click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the desktop. A window appears with all of the audio features. Make sure none of these are muted (uncheck the "Mute" box if you find some are), then turn up the audio on the different features. This ensures the audio is not turned down so you are unable to hear it.

2. Look to see if you have any headsets connected to the laptop. If there is something connected to the "Line Out" port of the laptop, no audio is going to play through the systems speakers.

3. Check that you have the laptop speakers selected as the device creating the audio for the Windows XP laptop. Click "Start," "Control Panel," then "Sound." Make sure the laptop speakers are selected (if not, click the audio playback pull-down menu and choose the laptop speakers), then click "Apply."

4. Download the drivers for the Windows XP laptop. If the drivers have been removed from the system, the computer is unable to produce any audio. Navigate to the laptop's manufacturing site, then choose "Support," "Downloads and Drivers," then enter in the model number of your computer, select "Windows XP" as the operating system, then choose the "Audio Driver" download. Once the drivers have finished downloading, double-click the file, follow the installation prompts of the driver wizard and click "Install" to install the driver. Once complete the laptop computer is ready to begin playing audio again.

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.

Only video, no audio from HDMI connection from Asus K52JK. Connected to an Onkyo HT-RC160 receiver (HDMI Ver 1.3a). All volumes were turned up. Also tried direct connection to my Toshiba LCD. Any...

Okay so I know this is a little delayed I had the same issue and what I found out by calling ASUS, is to right click on the speaker icon bottom right of screen, click on playback devices. If your HDMI is connected to both tv and laptop, then your TV should be listed. the speakers should have a green check, click on your TV then press set default, then configure test. After testing hit okay and you are good to go. You just have to turn it back to your laptop speakers same way. Good luck hope this is more useful than the typical "Check your manual."

Laptop speakers does not work, headset does

When you connect your headset in to the laptops 3,5 jack connection there is a little switch inside that socket. If you push in the jack it turns the pc-s speakers off.Probably that little switch is stuck, you can move around the jack to try to free the switch. No other explanation for this issue.

Laptop connected to TV via 23pin cable and setup

You have to connect the laptop to the TV by using the headphone jack on the laptop.
Only then, will the sound be sent over to the TV, and automatically the speakers on the laptop will stop working.

Get a cable to connect them from the headphone jack to an appropriate input on the TV.

Hope I helped,
Tom

I speakers to my laptop

You need an amplifier between Laptop/PC jack to drive the high power speakers/subwoofers. Or buy the special system like Logitech's Speaker system (speakers-subwoofer) that has a built in amplifier already designed for PCs/Laptops. Radio shack has amplifiers of various inputs and power levels.
