Question about Maytag LSE7806A Top Load Stacked Washer/Dryer

Maytag Neptune MLE200AZW stacker-dryer sounds like an aircraft

The dryer is very noisy (squeals mostly, sounds like something with many RPM's) wondering if the wheels are worn down, if so how do you change them out? Also have had several items lodge between drum and back piece I think due to drum sagging...does this make sense?

IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THE DRUM ROLLERS TO WEAR OUT TO THE POINT WHERE THE DRUM DROPS CAUSING A GAP THAT CATCHES CLOTHES. AS FAR AS GETTING TO THEM, ALL I CAN SAY IS START TUNNELING INTO THE MACHINE BY STARTING WITH THE SMALL PANEL UNDER THE CONTROLS THAT IS HELD IN BY TWO SCREWS. ONCE YOU GET THAT OFF, IT SHOULD BE OBVIOUS WHICH SCREWS COME OUT NEXT. THE CONTROL DOES HAVE TO BE REMOVED.

Dryer sqeaks while it's running

This could be the result of a loose/worn belt, or worn drum roller bearings. Is it a constant squeal or a squeak......squeak.........squeak, basically in time with the RPM of the drum? If that is the case, get new drum bearings. If the former is the case, get a new belt.

Many dryers use rollers or wheels to support the clothes drum. When these rollers are worn, they can be noisy. You should replace the whole set of rollers at the same time. Dryers have a tension or idler pulley that keeps tension on the main drive belt. When it's worn, it can be noisy. When that happens, don't lubricate it. Just replace it. Some dryers support the clothes drum in the rear with a center spindle instead of rollers. The spindle may be a ball-and-socket type support or a shaft through a sleeve. When the components are worn, they may squeak, squeal, or rub. You can't repair them. Just replace them when they're worn.

assuming nothing is stuck around drum pull off the front and check the fan. If it is noisy for a few seconds after you stop the dryer then the fan may be stripped on motor shaft. while off you can check the front glides and the rear rollers

Idler pulley your dryer has a tension or idler pulley that keeps tension on the main drive belt. When it's worn, it can be noisy. When that happens, don't lubricate it. Just replace it. Rear drum bearing. There are videos of the testing and replacing of these parts at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html this will walk you thru the troubleshooting and replacement of these parts Blower wheel Your dryer's blower wheel pulls air over the heat source, through the clothes drum, and past the thermostats, then pushes it out the exhaust duct. This brings us to the last problem could be the blower wheel, which is usually plastic, may wear out over time.To check this grab the wheel and see if theres any play . But if it's noisy, it may simply be clogged with lint. Clean the blower and test to see if the dryer is still noisy. If it is, you need to replace it. If you need diagrams or illustrations of your specific model you can also enter your model # there.

My maytag neptune gas dryer model #MDG3000AWW When I push the start button on my maytag neptune dryer it sounds like it wants to start but doesn't and then it gets this smell like something is burning?...

It sounds like the drum bearings are seizing up preventing the drum from rolling easily, and when the motor runs, it can't pull the drum belt around the drum that won't turn, so starts squealing and burning the belt.

You need to lubricate/replace the drum bearings, and replace the belt.
