Try looking under your hood (unless that's the fuse box you are talking about) There are "fusable links" that protect the inside fuse box.
Hope that helps.

I have a rover cd32 radio /cd it was working fine i stopped for 5 minutes and when i started the car again the radio was dead.the fuse appears ok as the clock is working and are on the same fuse,pushed...

  • This shows a faulty head unit sometimes...
  • The fuses for these systems are usually two.
  • One right behind the music system, clock and the head works on it.
  • Then the second on the fuse box of the car.
  • Usually used fuse is the accessory- cigarette lighter kit fuse. Check for any blown fuse in the fuse box.
  • Then check the connection lines of the main supply(red\yellow), ground(black).
  • If this is not a remedy then go to the service center to get an advice. Do not open the head unit yourself !!

Turn signals dont blink

First, you need to post what your car make and model is.
Second, it is probably the relay for your blinkers. These are usually located in the fuse box, sometimes under the dash or glove box or under the hood in a second fuse box.

The fuse boxes will usually contain a diagram of what each fuse/relay goes to.

Once you locate the blinker/indicator fuse/relay remove it and go to your nearest parts store for a replacement.

This is usually the culprit.

Where does th JVC KS-SRA 100 power cord wire into. It says 14V DC outlet. is this the fuse box or a wire on the JVC receiver. I can get satelite reception but sound

Hi,
Power cord that goes to fuse box to provide power to unit. Yellow to 14V DC and black to Ground / car body.
J-Bus connector goes to receiver to amplify sound that goes to speakers.

Hit "add a comment" for further query / info.
Thanks.

90cc quad bike (chinese we think)

Hi,

If I understand your concern right, whenever you connect the battery, the quad's starter motor will run even when the ignition is OFF.

The only possibility I could think of is that the starter relay's contact are fused together. Normally, the relay's contact should only connect when the ignition is on, the starter button is pressed and I believe in some versions/models, one of the hand brake levers is pulled in.

Since these products come in two (2) versions two stroke and four stroke and manufactured by quite a number of firms, there is no standard repair procedure.

If the big red or + wire from the battery goes to the starter motor directly, then the possible fused contacts are inside the motor assembly itself but distinct from the motor;

If the big red or + wire from the battery goes to a squarish small box, which is a power/starter relay, then the possible fused contacts are inside that small box. That box would have two big wires, one from the + of the battery as earlier stated and another going to the starter motor. Additionally, it would have 1 or 2 smaller wires. One would go to the starter button switch and the other to the ground. It is also possible that it is connected to the ground if it has got a metal body and therefore would only have 1 small wire.

If you have verified that it is the latter (using a relay), then you need to replace that relay.

In some instances, it could be the starter switched that has fused together its contacts though this rarely happens.

If your concern has not been corrected after completion of the above procedures, try to pls post back with pictures of where the + big battery wire goes to.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
