It is possible that the
machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or feedback from
the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must
initiate the INLET/PUMP MOTOR/DRAIN to work
when it is commanded .If this does not happen then the voltage at these
points must be checked or the fault
relates to no voltage/drive from the controller. This means the controller is a
suspect. Check how
to remove the control panel: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/dishwashers/a/3/1287/how-to-replace-a-hotpoint-dishwasher-fascia-p.html If the
water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there
is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. What
is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch
must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the
motor. The water pressure must be good and the spraying must be seen to be
good. If there is low pumping or pressure then the spray arms will not turn
around to inject with pressure. If so
the pump must be checked for clogging. To replace
check this link:
SOURCE: dishwasher doesn't drain
suspect not draining properly all the time. if plumbed into the trap under the sink, then check there is no blockage there. (quite common) . hold drain pump into a bucket so you can see the rate of flow. hold the bucket about 3ft off the floor. if poor flow, then you either have a blockage at the pump or the pump is faulty
SOURCE: beko dishwasher fills with water, does not wash but will drain the water away
impellor buggered. Needs replacing
SOURCE: Dish washer won't drain properly
either you have a blockage inside the drain hose at the attach point under the sink , or possibly somehting stuck in the drain pump itself, preventing proper drainage, the drain pump is acessible form underneath, usually mounted ti the right side of dishwasher, "unplug first HOT WIRES"
SOURCE: The detergent packet doesn't dissolve.
Hello- Water flow, temperature, and pressure inside determine whether this little packet will dissolve. Sump blockages or pump /motor weakness both effect amount water spraying inside. Some of these packets don't dissolve in time to enter wash water. Start by using powder or gel again. If it still leaves soap residue, other pump/motor issues exist. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed. Thanks- ED
Hi
If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound.
If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush. The water temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes. Hope this helps...

Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump.
