It appears that the automatic water valve is stuck partially open. You can remove it and try cleaning it or purchase a new one and replace it.

SOURCE: water leaks from ice maker in ice tray.

When the ice maker calls for water it'll be filling for about 7 seconds if is more the ice maker inside control board is bad , but if there's water in the ice maker all the timeeven after or before it calls for water it means that the water valve (solenoid) that supplies water to the ice maker is leaking and you have to replace it.

SOURCE: Shelf kitchenaid Refrigerator's ice maker leaking water

Turn off the water line that goes to the refrigerator and see if still leaking if not the problem is with the solenoid valve ,which is an electric valve that opens only when the ice maker calls for water and is located at the back of the fridge in the bottom behind the cover(if your refrigerator has water and ice dispenser ,Its called dual valve). And if leaks when you turn on the water ,this part has to be replaced .But if leaks and overflow the ice maker only when it calls for water the problem is in the ice maker and to repair it will cost almost as a new one .

This sounds like the automatic water valve is not shutting off completely. It may be due to something in the valve that is keeping the it partially open. You might could take it off and clean it out. Or replace it with a new one.

Ice maker line poped out of back and water line going to ice maker frozen

Sometimes over the winter months the tube going to the ice maker can become blocked with ice and cause this tube to pop out.

1. With the water supply going to your refrigerator on take a look at the end that popped out and see if you can see it drip at all. If it does not drip just clear the ice out of the ice maker fill tube, then replace the line that popped out and you will be good to go.

2. If you do see a drip come out of the end that popped out you will need to trace that line back to the valve its connected to and replace that valve.

Thanks for asking.

Ice maker does not make ice anymore. appears the tray is not filling with water. door water dispenser is still working

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. It’s on the back where the water supply comes in. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze blocking the fill tube.. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

If you could observe exactly where the water is dripping from it would help but...If it overfills and drips, look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water.
If it continuously drips, replace the water inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.
The water inlet valve on the back of the unit where the water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill tube.

Ice maker freezing up

The problem is in the water valve.
The water supply line going to the Ref is connected to a water valve. This valve is not shutting off completely which causes water to drip into the ice maker. This dripping will freeze and eventually completely block the fill tube in the freezer.

LG ICE MAKER

Be sure that the fill tube is getting into the ice maker and that the ice maker is not blocked with ice.  If everything seems ok, you may have a leaking water valve which causes it to constantly drip water into the ice maker causing the block of ice.
