What color are the wires that go from door switch to dome lights on a 2005 mustang v6 conv.

The door switch doesn't go to the dome lights , the switch (door ajar switch ) is an input to the SMJ - smart junction box or body control module take your pick .
Principles of Operation
When the SJB detects a request for lighting, it turns on the interior lamps by supplying power to the lamps. The request for lighting can be an open door signal from a door ajar switch, an interior lighting on command from the instrument panel dimmer switch or an unlock command from a remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter.
The door ajar switches are hard-wired directly to the SJB. The 2 door ajar switches are normally closed when the doors are closed. The decklid ajar switch is normally closed when the decklid is closed. All door ajar switches receive voltage from the SJB and each has its own ground circuit.
The instrument panel dimmer switch receives a ground signal from the SJB. The instrument panel dimmer switch provides variable resistance for backlighting the instrument cluster and a toggle ON/OFF function for the interior lights.
The RKE receiver is contained inside the SJB. When the SJB receives an unlock request from an RKE transmitter, it unlocks the doors and turns on the interior lamps. There could be DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes stored in the SJB ! You can not access these codes with a OBD2 code reader , need a factory scan tool .

LR window won't go up,motor been changed & switched been tested with other switch which tested good.Is there a fuse for this window.

you need to test at drivers door master switch with a test light or volt meter to see if switch is sending voltage to that wire if switch is working and no voltage at door connector, slit open the rubber boot for that door and ck for broken wire in that area this is a prone area that flexes the wire when opening and closing the door causing wire to break

The switches on the 3 doors dont work either even if i try to control the windows or locks from the Driver switch still dont work. Ive tried changing the control switches and still nothing works, the

the drivers door switch is the master switch i would take a test light and check to see if the drivers door swich is sending 12 volts to other doors when pushing down on other windows test with test light to see if any light up if you find one that lights up stop pressing switch and see if it goes out if it does the switch is ok if it does not then the drivers door master switch is probably your problem

Dishwasher will not run. I have checked the circuit breaker and it seems fine. does the dishwasher have a reset button?

Hello there:
My dishwasher will not work at all. Investigate these four areas if your dishwasher is not working at all:

Power Supply

Your dishwasher may not be receiving any power. It is somewhat difficult to check for power at the plug outlet because the plug for a dishwasher is usually behind the unit. You should make sure all the circuit breakers of your circuit breaker panel are in the correct positions, or check to make sure no fuses of your house fuse panel are blown.

Door Switch

A properly functioning door switch will shut your dishwasher off when the door is opened. A defective door switch may not allow your dishwasher to operate at all. Examine the door switch and test it. If it is inoperable, it will have to be replaced.

Cycle Selector Switch

It isn't very common, but it is still possible that your dishwasher's cycle selector switch has become defective. Test the switch to determine if it is the cause of your problem. Replace it with a new one if it is.

Timer Motor

Your dishwasher timer will not function if its motor is defective. And if your timer is not functioning properly, then the dishwasher itself will not function properly. Test your dishwasher's timer motor, and if it is broken, you can replace either the entire timer assembly or just the timer motor.

We have a dishwasher model:SHU9925UC/14. The problem is that when I run a cycle it doesn't fill up with water. Please can you help us.thank you.

Check this all causing not fill water:

  • Check that the water supply is turned on. The valve may be located under the sink.
  • Check the door latch
  • Test the door switch
  • Inspect the float assembly
  • Inspect the fill tube for kinks
  • Test the float switch
  • Check the inlet valve filter screens
  • Test the water inlet valve
  • Test the drain valve lever arm
  • Check the drained valve
The water inlet valve can be identified by the water hoses connected to it. One hose will lead from the valve to the pump/motor assembly in the center of the dishwasher. Check that the hoses are securely connected to the valve and that there are no kinks in the hoses which could restrict water flow.

The door switch is a separate part from the door latch and is found inside the cabinet. The switch is off when the door is open. Depressing the switch closes the circuit and enables dishwasher operation. Closing the door does not depress the switch all the way. Only when the door is closed and latched, does the door fully depress the switch.
If the door latch is not properly aligned it may not pull the door tightly closed and the door switch will not be fully depressed. Unless the switch is fully depressed the dishwasher will not operate.
It is a simple matter to determine whether the door latch is theproblem. Simply open the door, close the latch and select a cycle anddepress the switch. Note that if the test is successful, with the dooropen, the dishwasher will operate and water may spray out. Make sure tofirst remove all tools from inside the dishwasher. Do not reach insidethe dishwasher during the test. Now, inspect the cabinet where the doormakes contact with it and locate the door switch. It may have aprotruding button or spike or more likely it is a hole with a piece ofmetal or plastic inside it. You must fully depress that switch. If theswitch is recessed, then use a non-conductive object, such as a woodenpencil, to depress the switch.
If the dishwasher begins to operate during this test, then you have isolated the problem. The door switch is not being fully depressed when the door is latched. There are three likely possibilities:
  1. The door latch is misaligned.
  2. The entire door is misaligned.
  3. The striker for the door switch is damaged or misaligned.
To service the door latch, it may be necessary to access it in the control panel. Access varies by model; on some models you can remove just the control panel on others you must remove the interior or exterior panel of the door.
Before removing the control or interior panel, look first for exposed screws that may allow you to adjust the latch or the strike plate. You may be able to loosen the screws and shift the latch on the door or the strike plate on the cabinet. It may require some trial and error, but you can loosen, adjust, tighten and test until it latches properly.

Good luck ;

2004 crown vic interior lights stay on

Don't think you have a door ajar switch problem , more then like the lighting control module is the culprit . Does the door ajar light on the instrument cluster stay lit ?
The interior lighting can be separated into two distinct modes of operation: the courtesy lighting and the demand lighting. The lighting control module (LCM) controls all of the interior lighting in the vehicle, as described in the following text.
The front dome lamps, rear reading lamps, and instrument panel courtesy lamps, can be illuminated either by opening any of the vehicle doors (courtesy lamp function) or by depressing the headlamp switch (demand lamp function).
When any door is open, the door ajar switch grounds an input to the LCM which then sends power to the courtesy lamps. The voltage sent to the courtesy lamps gradually increases from 0 volts to 12 volts within 500 ms (± 50 ms), to achieve the theater lighting effect. When the door(s) are closed the door ajar switch(es) break(s) the ground to the LCM input which then gradually reduces the power from 12 volts to 0 volts within 5 seconds. (± .5 second).
When the headlamp switch is depressed it grounds an input to the LCM which in turn sends 12 volts to the front dome lamps, rear reading lamps, and instrument panel courtesy lamps. When the headlamp switch is depressed a second time, it breaks the ground to the LCM input which then ceases to send power to the front dome lamps, rear reading lamps, and instrument panel courtesy lamps.

The battery saver will disrupt power to the courtesy lamps after 10 minutes, the demand lamps after 30 minutes, and the headlamps after 10 minutes. Turning the ignition switch to the RUN or ACC position will terminate the battery saver feature by disabling the interrupt timers and reinstate power to the lamps.

I have a 2003 corolla le my door light is on and wouldn't go off

I could be a door switch.  1. switch dome light to door 2. close all the doors 3. open each door one by one. if the dome light comes on then you    know that switch is good. 4. closed the door and wait for the dome light to turn off then move on to the next door. 5. If you find a door that does not turn on the dome light than bingo you have a bad door switch. * the door switch may be your problem because of the constant abuse of slamming, closing , and opening the doors. * This test is not 100%. it is just a visual test. and sometimes with a simple visual test you can diagnose your problem while saving time, and $ Good luck!

  • The door latch pulls the door tightly closed to prevent water leakage around the door. It is also designed to prevent operation while the door is open. The door latch works in concert with the door switch to ensure that the door is tightly closed and latched. The door switch is a separate part from the door latch and is found inside the cabinet. The switch is off when the door is open. Depressing the switch closes the circuit and enables dishwasher operation. Closing the door does not depress the switch all the way.
