Question about HP PSC 500 All-In-One Printer

Multiple printers printing crooked

Had an hp 670c that was printing crooked. Went to align it and none of the lines would line up left to right. It was hooked up to the lpt port. Bought another hp 1300 series with usb connection and have the same problem. any ideas? The computer is a dell dimension 3200

The hp psc 500 has to be used on a ecp port only that may have something to do with it hp included the ecp patch in the cd that came with the printer. go into you bios and set the port to ecp only that might help also install another driver.

probably a simple alignment problem. Go into your maintenance section and there is an option to align . Run this and it should realign your printing. Hope this helps!

Printer crashes


Hi Ann,

Check the ribbon cable that comes out of the back of the print carriage for damage / disconnection. They don't normally wear loose, but it is possible.Failing that, the print engine could have failed, which would deliver duff data to the heads, thus printing rubbish onto the page.

Vertical lines in tables are not straight


Just perform a printer alignment procedure from printer tools software under start menu.

Very feint print


Do you have a the CD ROM for installing the printer ? You can clean the printer using the instructions suggested. It will ask you to print a test page after cleaning and alignment. The CD ROM gives you all the information.

Hp 670c deskjet will not print


Dear Sir,

As soon as you Plugin the Ink Cartridges an alignment page should print. When you install a printer to a computer the Test page should come out. If nothing is happening then printer is faulty. If Printer is fit and fine then try using another computer. If nothing works out please let me know.
