Question about Samsung HLM507W 50" Rear Projection HDTV

Open Question

Samsung HLM507W will not turn on

Alright so here's the deal....I got this TV for free from a guy on craigslist. He said he couldnt get it to turn on. He replaced the lamp, it still didn't work, so he gave up and now I have it. First thing I did was try and turn it on... The TV powered up for about 5 seconds, and then the screen started to flicker all kinds of crazy colors, and it shutdown shortly after with all 3 lights blinking. I figured this probably has to do with the color wheel, so I bought a new one and popped it in. Once installed, the TV started right up, and worked for the entire duration of it being on (approx 7 hours). Now it will not turn on. Here's the startup sequence: -Push power -A couple of audible clicks, and both cooling fans energize. -Lamp does not turn on, and after about 45 seconds of having just the fans running, the TV cycles off and tries to power itself back on. -Rinse and repeat about 3 times total. -After the 3rd attempt, the TV shuts down completely and all 3 lights start blinking in front. -Pushing power does not do anything with the 3 lights blinking. TV must be unplugged and pplugged back in before sequence can be attempted again. Looking for a possible solution/troubleshoot technique. Checked the fuses and they are fine, triple checked all of the connections. Seeing as the lamp doesnt even attempt to energize, Im thinking it could be the ballast, but I'm trying not to dump money into something that might not fix the problem. Thanks for your help!

3d Samsung plasma craked screen & won't turn on ,can it b fixed

you will have the replace the entire plasma screen. This will NOT be cost effective, will be cheaper to buy a new set vs. buying a replacement panel. Toss the set on Ebay or your local craigslist as a parts unit. If you get $60-80 for it, take the money and run !!!

No tv sound. Dvd works alright. Have hdmi cable from theater sys. to tv. Cannot figure out how connect red, white or yellow cables.

By Visio "55 I'm presuming you mean the Vizio VF550XVT.

First you need an Audio Cable (Red/White RCA Connectors) and with everything turned off connect it to your TV where shown below.

andys_elec_6.jpg
The other end of the cable will then connect to the Aux In 2 of your Samsung HT-Z320 as shown below.

andys_elec_1.jpg
Once connected you can turn your Vizio & Samsung back on.

You then need to use the AUX button on your Samsung Remote Control to Select Aux 2.

And on your Vizio Remote Control follow the Instructions below.

Samsung hlm507w; lamp & temp blinking, replaced lamp. TV blinks whether or not I have the lamp in. Pressed the power button on set and nothing happens. Does this mean I need to replace the power...

Look for Bad Capacitors on the Power supply board they will be vented on Top or Puffed up. Encompass Parts Distribution has Boards for this Set 1-800-638-3328
If Power supply board is OK then problem may go back to the Ballast Board ,It is what powers Lamp on.Look to make sure all fans are running and you do not have a defective Fan?

I HAVE A 50 HLM507W SAMSUNG TV WILL WORK FINE FOR 30 MIN THEN COLOR WILL GO GREEN AND BLUE AND STREEKS OF WHITE LIKE LIGHTING

When these colors show up if you can still see the on screen menus with no issues then more than not your digital board is bad. If they are not visible and are distorted as well then the DMD board is bad. Either way both are technician replacement items as the set requires alignment after either one is replaced.
