Picture size

I found the user manual online, and the pictures in it are really helpful and make this make a lot more sense, but:
1. Press [SCREEN MODE], to switch the TV aspect ratio.
2. Press [SCREEN MODE] repeatedly until the normal screen displays.
NOTE: • Some programs may not offer all display mode options.
4:3 Programming
[Sidebar] Sidebar displays a 4:3 picture at its standard 4:3 size. Sidebars will be displayed on the right and left edges of the screen.
[Full] Full displays a 4:3 picture at a 16:9 size, with horizontal elongation necessary to fill the screen.
[Cinema] Cinema displays a 4:3 picture at a 16:9 size, with less horizontal elongation necessary to fill the screen because a little bit of the top and bottom edge of the screen will be cut off.
[Wide] Wide displays the center of the picture as original size and the outer sides of the picture will be elongated. The size of the picture will depend on the original signal.
16:9 Programming
[Full] A picture is displayed at 16:9 size as it is.
[Zoom] Zoom displays a 16:9 picture without changing its horizontal and vertical ratio, at its maximum size.
[Cinema] Cinema displays a 16:9 picture with vertical elongation.
[Expand] Expand displays a 16:9 picture with horizontal elongation

Lost remote for emerson lc320em8 32 in. lcd tv, how can i adjust the screen mode to get full screen without the remote?

Hello
It is immpossible to set its screen resolution or screen size, without it remote control. Try to get one original remote control, from the authorised service center for Emerson at your town, or buy a universal remote control, which have setup codes for Emerson TV with it. OK.

Do all Blu-ray discs play with the black area at the top and bottom of the screen; like letterbox format? How can I expand the picture to full screen size on my LG 42LD450 tv? Maybe I'm just not...

They all play with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Sometimes they will be letterboxed and other times you will get a full screen with them. On your T.V. remote there should be a picture size button or format or a zoom button that should get you full screen.

Have 60 inch TV. Can not see full picture on screen. Example Nascar race could not see the scrolling bar on top. Words on bottom of screen can not see them all. Help

Make sure set is not in expanded mode. on the remote you should have a screen size button, if it is in expand or zoom it will loose part of pic. ALSO in some sets it will auto adj to expand if you have it in fill or auto mode.

Element LCD 32" TV- expand the screen

You will need the original remote to operate the different screen modes.
My TV has the same problem, without that silly special button on the remote, I'm not able to change the screen size without it.
I google "FLX3210 remote", 3 web sites are selling it for less than $45.
I hope I answered your question correctly. Please rate me
