Check the continuity of the element, check the connection to the element and also the voltage when the cycle proceeds to heat.

P0113 code solution

Find the inlet air temperature sensor somewhere along the airflow route to the engine. It is often integrated with the mass airflow sensor. If it is separate from the airflow sensor, it will only have 2 wires. If the airflow connector has more than 4 pins, the air temp sensor is probably integrated there. Inspect the wiring and remove the connector. Inspect the pins in the sensor and the terminals on the connector. Make sure the connector is connecting properly. If all looks good, test the sensor. Look up test procedures for your model and use an ohmmeter to test.

Hello, i have an hyundai car XG3000 that detected code p0172 and p0106.

Possible causes
- Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
- Ignition misfiring
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Exhaust gas leaks
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor

P0106 is for the Mass Airflow Sensor, so I'd look at the MAF as your failure. Only fix is to double check the wiring and if that is ok, replace the sensor.

LG DLEX2450R NOT HEATINF AND AIRFLOW SENSOR ERROR

Make sure the exhaust vent going outside is not clogged. If it is open make sure the air way in the unit is free from excess lint also. If all is clear you may have a faulty sensor.

Code 157

Error code 157 on your vehicle indicates a problem with your mass airflow sensor. The mass airflow sensor gives a reading based on the air intake and output within the engine compartment. A properly functioning sensor will contribute to better fuel economy. In some instances, you may be able to clean your mass airflow sensor to clear the error code, but the error will most likely return in a short time. Fortunately, replacing the mass airflow sensor is a reasonably simple repair.

I recently had problems with my 2005 Mazda MPV stalling. I came to this great site and changed the IAC and it stopped stalling. But 2 days later my check engine light came on. The codes are P2197 P2195...

The descriptions for your codes are:
P2197 - H02S (RF) signal stuck lean
P2195 - H02S (RF) signal stuck lean
P2187 - Fuel System too lean at idle
P0102 - MAF circuit low input

Essentially what's happening is that your MPV is running too lean when at idle. Too much air and not enough fuel. As you speed up - it forces more air into the system which alleviates the problem.

Examine your mass airflow sensor. It should be completely clean - no fuzzies on it at all. If so - purchase some mass airflow sensor cleaner to clean the sensor. ONLY USE THE PROPER CLEANER TO AVOID DAMAGING THE SENSOR. Disconnect the battery to reset the system and turn off check engine light.

Otherwise you will need a scan tool to look at the voltages being supplied to/from the PCM for each of the Heated Oxygen Sensors and the Mass Airflow Sensor to determine which part is creating the problem.

I have both Codes Po171 and Po 172 on I was told this is caused by a faulty Mass airflow sensor can anybody confirm these codes apply to this component. Thanks in advance

The describtion of both codes is similar.Check: intake system blocked or leak; Fuel pressure; EVAP canister purge valve;MAF sensor or HO2S heated oxigen sensor.

The mass airflow can get dirty and you will get trouble codes for everything under the hood except for the mass airflow. Try unplugging your mass airflow and driving the vehicle, if your problem goes away you need to clean the sensor. Buy some mass airflow cleaner though because other cleaners can damage the coating on the sensor.
