Question about LG DLEX7177 Dryer
The orange steam valve in my electric LG DLEX7177WM dribbles water, with no steam being produced. Can this be cleaned or replaced? It appears that water is dribbling from the lower aspect (7 o'clock position) of the valve with no steam actually emanating from the spout.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa Kevin
If you have already cleaned the vent then the problem is with the Thermal fuse. When the thermal fuse goes bad it cannot be reset and replacing it is recommended repair. It is located on the blower wheel housing inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct. You can test it for continuity before replacing. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Check the exhaust vent when running and be sure there is a good flow of air. You may have to clean the exhaust pipes all the way through. Dryers require a good flow of air for proper operation.
