My bread maker used to squeal, before use I now oil the arm rotor underneath the baking tin by dabbing a finger in vegetable oil and applying around where it rotates, this seems to do the trick. I would advise against using any other oil other than food oils due to the contamination risk, vegetable oil is ok of doing the roasties in a very hot oven slo should be ok in the bread maker.

SOURCE: loosening up kneading blade

Try some penatrating oil. It may be rusted a little. Then tap the center with a punch.

Oster noise when kneading

Are you pushing your pan down into the oven so that the little spring clips hold your pan in place nice and snug?

I was given a regal bread maker model k6751 is the kneading blade supposed to turn the whole time?

No, the blade only turns when the machine is in a mix or knead cycle. There are many minutes where the blade does nothing. This is when your machine is allowing the dough to rise or at the end during the bake phase.

Kneading blade comes off during breadmaking process

Yes, if the blade come off then your bread is not going to mix and knead properly. The blades on all makers are designed to slip on and off though so you can remove them for cleaning etc. Be sure you are pushing the paddle all the way on. If it still comes off when mixing that would be very odd as the weight of the dough ball itself helps keep paddles on. I have owned dozens of machines by different manufacturers and never had a paddle come off in process.

I have had a Panasonic breadmaker from Jan 2009 and it has been in regular use without problems. Recently on several occasions (not consecutive) the dough paddle has become detached during the mixing...

The kneading blade on the Panasonic bread makers is designed to fit loosely. If the dough is 'stiff' the kneading blade may stay in the bread when the loaf is removed from the pan. Allow the bread to cool completely before removing the blade carefully. Some types of flour absorb more water than others, so you can try adding an extra 10 - 20ml of water next time to see if this results in a slightly less 'stiff' dough.

This problem can also be caused if crust has built up underneath the blade. Make sure to wash the blade and its spindle after each use.

Trust this is helpful. Thank you for using FixYa!

My paddle keeps coming off when the dough is mixing. What's up with that?

Your paddle is probably worn out and has too much play in it. Some play is necessary to get it off for cleaning but it shouldn't be so loose it is coming off during kneading.
