Either the connectors have something in them like food or alot of dust or something laying in the cradle that is keeping the contacts from touching the phone contacts. Look in the cradle to see if there is something in the way, If that dont work, make sure the power socket is good by plugging something else in the outlet just to be positive it is hot, if it still won't charge then the plug on the cradle is bad or torn off inside. If you are a wizard you could fix it but if you are not inclined to tear things apart and out them back together don't try it. Good Luck...

Batteries won't charge

There are a few reasons why a battery won't charge. Make sure that the contacts on the phone and the charging cradle are clean. (Unplug the base or charger.) A pencil eraser is good initial cleaner; electronic contact cleaner sprays are a second option. Remove the battery and check the contacts inside the handset and the battery as well. Next replace the battery pack. If you add a comment with your phone's model number, then I can try to find the correct battery. (Stores like Battery Mart may have a compatible battery.)

The final possible problem is that the charging system is bad. If your phone has multiple handsets, try a different charger. If the phone allows you to add handsets, try getting a new handset. The new handset will come with a new charger. (I've never seen the chargers sold without the handset but you could try Uniden customer service. If the base station is the only handset cradle, you'll probably need to replace the phone if a new battery and clean contacts don't work.

If your Uniden phone is under warranty, contact the company.

I hope this helps.

Uniden cordless phone not working

Yr battery is probably Shot. With these type of batteries they can fall over if they go below 25% charge for a length of time. The charger is not charging even though it says it is. If the phone is not to old then get a new battery and try again. cheers

Cant register/install a new dect 6.0 uniden 2060 phone

I had a similar problem which I finally fixed. You did not say if any of your phones registered.
First try the following recommended by Uniden Support:
Your phone(s) should be fully charged before putting them on the main base.
Unplug the battery from the phone by removing the battery cover and removing the connector. Then, push the # and * key together and hold while you plug the battery back in (requires some dexterity). Continue to hold the two keys until you hear a confirmation tone. This will force the phone to reregister. Put the phone on the main base (if you are sure it has a fully charged battery) and see if it will reregister it to solve the problem.
That did not work for me. So, I followed the instructions to de-register the handset (even though it hadn't really registered). But, I also pretended like the Base was not available (because using the base in this step also failed).
1) Press and hold the hang up and # keys for at least 5 seconds.
2) Move the cursor to select Base Unavailable and then press Select.
3) Select the base you want to deregister from, press Select and then move the cursor to Yes and select.
This causes the phone to delete any of its base information.
At this point, again insure that your phone shows the battery is fully charged and if it is not, put it on the stand alone charger base (not the main base). With the battery fully charged, place it on the base and try registering again by placing it in the main base.
If neither of these approaches help, contact support at Uniden.com.
However, my problems were cleared when I cleared the handset with the second set of instructions.

That sounds like the battery is not charging properly. When in the charger there is enough voltage passing to power the handset, but when pulled off the charger it must rely on just the battery. I suspect you replaced your battery because you were having a problem, right? Your problem may be dirty charging contacts. Try taking a pencil eraser to your charging contacts on your handset and base. Try charging your handset again, and ensure your charge light comes on when doing so. Let it charge overnight. Hope that helps. CG

Charger light

I had this same problem and all I did was to unplug the DC adapter at the phone and plug it back in after a few seconds. The solid charge light came on immediately, like usual. I let the battery charge for several hours before using the handset again.

CORDLESS PHONE - NO DIAL TONE

Plug out the power from the main charger and then plug in again. It needs to reset after they have gone dead. Immediately you can lift one of them off the charger and you will hear your dial tone.
