Ice maker works fine but ice will not vend out of the storage bin. Ice freezes in the vending area

Check the door flap where the ice comes out into the dispenser. The number one cause of the ice build up in the dispenser chute is caused from warm air leaking into the freezer and clashing with the freezer air.

There is an ice build-up underneath the humidity control drawers and the food in the drawers is freezing. It is a model RB 215 LABB. We have adjusted the temperatures of both the freezer and the fridge,...

The problem isn't the humidity control or temperature control. When the refrigerator automatically defrosts it goes through a cycle of heating and melting the ice build-up then drains this water to a tray at the bottom of the refrigerator (underneath). The drain tube that lets this water flow down to the bottom tray freezes so the ice begins to build inside the refrigerator section.

The solution to this is to defrost the tube so water can flow again. There are heating coils in the freezer section behind the plastic in the back that you must remove and defrost.

This is an inherent problem with a lot of refrigerator/freezers. You should probably have your refrigerator serviced and to check the heating capability of the coils to keep this tube from freezing. Otherwise put this on your monthly schedule of manually defrosting.

The drainage tube in our GEProfile keeps freezing

Hi,
After defrosting, take compressed air and actually make sure that you can blow air through the tube....if the tube is open then there is no way that the water should not be going down....

I have a kitchen aid refrigerator KSRG22FTSS01 that the icemaker continues to freeze up in the delivery tube, any suggestions why

This is the fill Tube to the Ice maker tray. It is freezing because the water valve is leaking a little even when it should be closed. This leak is now freezing your fill tube. If you defrost the tube it will work untill it freezes again. The only solution is to replace the water valve. The valve part number for your machine is 4389178

I have water leaking somewhere at the back of my icemaker. It runs down the inside of the back panel and freezes around the fan which will make noise and finally stop the fan. Where should I look for leak...

Look at the back of the inside of unit. You should see a water inlet tube. This tube can get frozen and crack or brake. Also, if the auto-defrost timer is not working, your compartments may have different temp readings or you can have lots and lots of icebuildup

Ice Maker Not Making Ice BUT making a "trying" sound

Likely that the water supply tube to the icemaker is frozen. It will be a white rubber tube on the right side of the icemaker. Warm it with a hair dryer, remove it from its aluminum tubing, and make sure there is no ice all the way back to where the supply tube comes from the water valve. After thawing, your icemaker should start working again.

Now..... why did it freeze? Most likely, there is a restricted airflow to the back of the unit, which is need to keep that aluminum supply tube just warm enough to assure all the water flow OUT of it into the icemaker, and doesn't freeze up on contact. Make sure your coils and the airspace under the fridge are completely clean (vacuuum them well) and it should cure the problem.

Icemaker does not work

Hello Netmindr32,
You will need to replace your inlet valve. The problem is the water is slowly leaking into your icemaker fill line and freezing up. You will have a double inlet valve and the line going to your dispencer may be working fine but the one going to the icemaker is not sealing off. Be sure to defrost all the ice out after replacing the inlet valve. And please allow several cycles of your icemaker before it makes its first batch. It can take 2-3 cycles to fill lines and filters depending on your model. Lots of luck to you and please let me know if this helped you. Mca0824@aol.com
