Thank you everyone. My son solved my problem. He took the sim card out. This restarted the phone - now everything back to original. I guess like a computer needed defrag sort of. Yes, it's working. So again thank you for all your answers....Sandy

there is a slot on the phone where the sd card will go. once you install it the phone will recognise the memory card and most models will ask if you want to make the card your default storage device. select yes and everything you store from that point on will be on the sd card.

SOURCE: LG Chocolate 3 won't read my Micro SD card full of MP3s!

Ok, I figured it out. Well, ok, maybe I didn't figure it out, but I did solve the problem -- by making sure everything on the SD card was backed up, and then reformatting it. Then I put all my MP3's back into the "my_music" folder on the card, and it all showed up on the phone -- finally!

SOURCE: hi, i m using LG

Sometime this occurs due to the format issue. Did you format the SDcard using Win32 or NTFS? those two are likely the culprits.

If not, it is time to replace the card.

Third when using a brand new standard speed sd card, DO NOT FORMAT THE SD CARD IN ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE CAMERA.

One could clear the camera by reseating the battery (take the battery out & put it back in). The reset button (up inside) is not always necessary for this.

You probably got a different speed card to somehow work & the camera malfunctioned. Bear in mind the aforementioned advice.

How can i unlock my Memory card password

Well it has a lot to do with the phone, the phone's OS, and the way you "locked" the SD Card. If you encrypted the card you are likely out of luck.

If it is only a password, you can recover it with a PC using a SD Card reader and a text editor.

1. Put the SD Card in the reader(use a micro SD to SD adapter if necessary)
2. Open your OS's file browser and locate the file with MMCSTORE in it's name and open it in notepad or whatever your OS has.
3. Profit!

The password is stored there or should be and readable.

I tried putting tape over the tab on the ad card and it still shows write protect on the 3DS. I did put sd card in my computer and was able to copy a song on it so now I am thinking its a problem with

So on an SD CARD, which uses a MMC Interface, the WP# Signal is an actualy physical line, which should indicate to the host (the DS or whatever), that the device cannot be written to.. Furthermore, the spec indicates that when the line is active, the device should NOT allow writes to the device.

So, given you've flipped it to non-write protect..and the device says it is..there's a couple of possibilities:

1) The device is damaged, and not able to pickup the fact the pin (those gold pads on the back of the SD card..) are I'm no write protected... so,, you might try some compressed air in the slow and clean out junk... OR

2) The device is damaged,,and somehow things your device has that line (signal) pulled a certain way... saying its write-protected.. again.. clear it out w/air..or its possibly damaged.

3) The SD card itself MAY be damaged..and before blowing air, or using alcohol to clean contacts..etc.. before you get crazy with it..try a different card.. Maybe it when through something to damage is tiny and fragile afterall...

4) If #3 doesn't work..and another device does the same thing.. try #1 and that...your device is broken :-(

I can't get the point what you really want it.

Okay, I couldn't find my BlackBerry phone charger for like four months, and when I got a new one I forgot the password. I only have TWO more chances to unlock it and I DON'T want to lose anything...

There is no chance you can get that picture or doing backup process unless your blackberry curve 8300 unlocked. That's the feature of RIM security system, try to remember your password and if you confident with that password then try to make your blackberry unlocked. Good luck and I hope you succeed.

W490 wont read memory card

Hi, sykko_one, I have the exact same phone and was experiencing the same problems. After about a year of using my phone and storing music, pictures, videos, etc. on my phone it would suddenly stop working. Sometimes it would work, and sometimes I wouldn't be able to save or read any data on the memory card. What I did to fix it was completely remove the memory card from the phone and used a micro sd Tinpec card reader, picture here. You want the one that supports micro sd. You can find them on ebay or amazon. Then connect your micro sd card to your pc with the adapter and right-click the removable drive (might be drive e: or f:) and choose format. Leave the default options and format the disk. Make sure you've selected the right disk. To verify this you can open the drive and look at the contents, it should have a folder called "moble." Go ahead and format the drive. Then use chkdsk.exe from the command line to check the disk for errors. Syntax will look like "chkdsk f: /f" or "chkdsk e: /f" (depending on the drive letter assigned to your sd card reader.)

If the format and chkdsk do not work. try just deleting all the information from the card and copying some pictures and music files to it. If these copy successfully then I would assume the problem is with the firmware on your phone. Take the phone to a t-Mobile store and see if they can't re-load the firmware. And don't worry about deleting any data from your sd card, it will not affect the phone in any way, it will just delete whatever pictures music files you have stored on the card. So be sure to back those up first before you do anything. Hope this helps. -Rogueelite

You can do this using the desktop mananger - by synchronising your new phone to your SD card - assuming you have a card reader.
