It sounds like the speakers themselves are the problem rather than the amp.
Although, it would be rare to have overdriven/blown the surrounds.
My suggestion would be to isolate which speakers or channels (on Amp) are at fault.
Swap left and right to see if the problem transfers across.
Possibly a problem with the computers power. Possibly not. Try this program. If the data gets messed up you can at least fix it with this one. For extra added bonus, it is free and open source. Cant beat that! Available for Mac PC and Linux
This tv has two common problems:
in the power supply (set does distotions and shakes a lot etc very unstable until the set cannot work at all). powerfully color gets back with a deep clean in the reflexion area. I'm sorry this job is for a technician, The set is so intricate for those two problems that any bad movement in this precision job could send the tv straight to wherever is bad.
Check that Cubase is actually using the Alpha ASIO driver in the VST part of the Setup menu under Devices.
I've just set up two of these and found that the ASIO driver was defaulted to the builtin cards driver.
I still don't get a nice clean signal though. It's definately not the best device in the world.
I wouldn't spend my own money on one!
Your screen mask may have become magnetized. This will require that you have the CRT degaussed. This is done with the use of a degaussing coil. you have to stand about 10 feet from the TV with the coil held vertically and moving it in a circular pattern as you walk towards the tv. Once you are about 1-2 inches from the TV stop and continue the circular pattern for about a three count then backup from the tv still using the circular motion once you are about 10 feet from the tv turn the coil to a horizontal plane and move it away quickly and turn it off. This should degauss the TV and remove the color distortion.
You will need a degaussing coil to perform this task.
