Everything is running as normal apart form the temperature being too hot. This happened once before - that's when I called out the engineer to clean everything. That was 4 weeks ago. The table is about 5 years old, I inherited it when I bought the business 18 months ago. The only other thing that I've noticed is that is runs very loud. It's a Rendell 9601-7M

If you are wanting to check and see if the compressor is operating and actually working, find the small refrigerant line coming off the compressor and follow it several inches and check its temperature. The normal temperature is over a 100 degrees and should feel very hot. Be careful the normal range is over 140 degrees on most model and may cause burns. If it is hot to the touch, that means the compressor is working. If it is not hot it means you have some problems with the compressor and probably need a new one.
If it is hot, the most common problem with a real hot compressor is a dirty condenser. If your models compressor hot line dissapears into the casing (walls of the refrigerator) then you cannot clean the condensor, but if it goes into a finned condensor with a fan, you need to check if it is dirty and just needs cleaning. This is a very common problem and periodic cleaning needs to be performed. Your refrigerator loses heat removed from the interior by rejecting the heat to the air passing over the condensor. If it can not breath due to dirt buildup, the refrigerator will over heat and lead to prematur breakdown. If the systems has operated long enough at a high temperature, the refrigeration oil in the refrigerant system can decompose and form sludge and block the capillary tubing. Once sludge start forming it is very difficult to flush the sludge out and a compressor change out typically can not fix the system because remaining sludge. In this case it is cheaper to buy a new refrigerator and remember to clean the condenser every year at least, more ofter if you have cats and dogs. They have a tendency to shed and the hair gets into the condenser. I had a customer once that used the air flow to the condenser as a vacuum cleaner because the dirt dissapeared near the air suction, until the condensor clogged up and the refrigerator stopped cooling, go figure.

Something is very wrong here. Does this occur when running on internal battery or only when plugged into the power adapter? At these temperatures the cooling fan should be running at full speed constantly until the temperatures fall to about 50 centigrade or lower. (dependant upon loading and CPU power consumption.) The laptop should automatically power down at the temperatures you are quoting!
In most cases this is normal because the factory places a hot copper or steel pipe that circulates hot Freon through the pipes to help cut down on sweat that forms around doors due to cold inside temperatures and warm moist temperatures outside. The pipe is called a Yoder Loop The problem is when this loop begins to become abnormally hot and this is usally caused by blocked airflow, defective fan motor or dirty condenser. Check to see if your condenser has become obstructed due to dust or the way your refrigerator is place into its position among your cabinets. Let me know if you have questions,Sea Breeze
This is pretty normal unless you are having problems below the refrigerator fan. Good air flow equals more efficient. What you feel is call a yoder loop and that is hot Freon coming from compressor and circulating around doors to prevent moisture. If it becomes hotter and temperatures begin to increase inside freezer and fresh food compartments is really when you should be concerned. If the pipes were not there you would beging to see moisture form around door seals and rust also. At this point I believe your refrigerator is OK. Just watch for changes in temperatures inside combined with the heat around door frame. Other model refrigerators use electric heat strips to do the same thing and they can be switched off at a switch called energy saver. Your model does not have that and hot days the hotter it seems. Let me know if you have a safe temperature of 38 degrees inside fresh food compartment and if that changes we may need to clean dust and check condenser fan motor. Thanks, Sea Breeze
hi buddy its difficult to tell as the thermostate may not be opening a way to tell if this is happening is to get a digital thermostate and put it in the coolant bottle and run it to its normall temperature around 80c the temperature will drop and regain again this has dropped because the thermostate has opened if this doesnt happen then you thermostate has gone if this does wok get back to me buddy
If this happens only when the engine is cold or cool, I would suspect a coolant temperature senor that has lost its calibration. One way to check would be to have the engine controller scanned when the engine is cool then cold. The coolant temperature should be the same as the intake air temperature. If the readings are not close to one another, change the coolant sensor. The coolant temp sensor controls the fuel mixture when the engine is cold, normal or hot. Good luck, let me know. Regards,
hi from uk from your symptoms of what happened re temp guage risen suddenly it would indicate the temp sender unit on the engine has blown ie is earthing to engine via its screwthreaded body this is just a matter of replacing with a new sender unit hope this helps
Fridge has either mullion heaters around door or most likely steel pipes just inside the skin of the perimeter of the door, this is to stop ice or condensation forming around the door seals, mainly the freezer, they are part of the condenser circuit ( hot part of the refrigeration system). It is normal for these to get hot, but in your case may be hotter than usual because of the constant running, the running may be caused by hot ambient temperatures, system being slightly short of refrigerant, faulty thermostat or in-efficient compressor. I suggest if temp is ok inside fridge dont worry too much, if you notice fridge starts loosing its capacity to refrigerate, have a refrigeration tech look at it.
