I have sony DSC-W190,i want correct menu setting ,bcos if i take a picture its not clear,i think may be menu setting changed, idnt any idea about menu setting pls help.....

Hi,

If the Menu settings in the camera is changed, then I suggest you to reset the Camera back to factory default. Initializing the Camera back to factory default will set all the settings in the Camera back to factory default.
To initialize the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE Option from the Main Settings 1 Menu of the Camera to OK.This will set the user defined settings back to factory default. The images and videos will not get deleted.
You can also try a manual reset;

Turn off the camera.

Remove the battery pack.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.

Reinsert the battery pack.

Turn on the camera.

The blurry image capturing can also adjusted by changing the ISO Settings or the Scene Selection modes.

Thanks for using FixYa!

Fuzzy pictures

It's possible that some of the settings are set improperly on the camera. Try resetting the camera back to factory default settings and see if this makes any difference. To reset the camera - have the camera in shooting mode - go to Menu - left arrow to RESET - press Ok - highlight Yes and press Ok. This will set the camera back to factory settings. Try to take some images and see if they are still fuzzy.

Digital Zoom and Auto Focus "On" settings are not kept/retained

If you shoot in the P mode setting and then go to the Menu and set the option for All Reset to OFF. The camera will retain those settings when powered off. If you are shooting in the AUTO mode the camera will always default back to the factory setting of OFF when the camera is powered off. The All Reset function is not able to be set in the AUTO mode because the camera is already using factory default settings.

Close up pics with canon S3 IS

To get the sharpest possible pictures always mount your camera on a tripod.
Step 1 set your S3 camera to Program mode using the wheel control on top of the camera to P position.
Step 2 Press the function button on the rear of the camera, you will see a list of settings appear on the left side of the screen, you can scroll down through each of those settings using the up/down buttons of the up/down/left/right control on the back of the camera.
You can change the settings using the left/right buttons of that same up/down/left/right control. If you change a setting press the SET button to implement the change.
Set those settings as follows.
The top one set it to Zero
2nd one set it to AWB
3rd one set it to OFF
4th one set it to AEB (the center setting) then press SET button. your camera will now take 3 pictures each time you press the shutter, each at a different exposure setting so you can choose the best one.
5th one set it to Zero
6th one set it to Evaluative
7th one is video mode it is not neccessary to change this for taking stll pictures.
8th and last one, set it to L then press the SET button it takes you to a second option set this to S then press SET button again, now the display for that setting should show SL ( this sets your camera to use the highest resolution settings)

Now you have your camera set up you can get ready to take your pictures, press the function button again to close out the settings list.
Keep your camera in Program mode (P on the wheel control)
If you want to take close up pictures,
Press the macro button located on the left side of the lens close to the body of the camera it has a flower icon above it.
On your camera screen you will see it say macro, this is for close ups.
If you hold that same button down for about half a second it will change to super macro mode for extreme close ups. This allows your camera to focus on objects very close to the camera lens.
Position your camera as close to the subject as neccessary to make it fill the screen.
Now if you are using a tripoid, press the shooting mode selection button located just behind the shutter release button, each time you press this button you will see a different shooting mode appear on the screen. Press it repeatedly untill it says Self Timer. This mode allows you to press the shutter release then let go of the camera altogether so you will not cause camera shake. the camera will beep and take the picture several seconds later.
I would strongly recommend you use a tripod but f you are not using one ignore that last step and try to hold the camera as still as possible while you take the picture. If you follow those instructions you should get good sharp pictures.

HOW TO SET UP CAMERA WITH 500MM LENS

Hey SHUTTER HEAD,
Without knowing what camera you have I would set your camera's aperture to f/8. I would have your camera mode set to either aperture priority or manual, and leave the aperture on the camera set to f/8.

Sincerely,
Allan

Give the following a try:

How do I maintain the settings when I Power ON/OFF my Casio digital camera?

Turn the camera ON and switch to REC.
Press the MENU button.
Using the controller, scroll to the Memory tab.
To have any one or ALL so settings maintained when turned OFF, scroll down to each and then to the right. Any settings you want to be maintained when the camera is turned back ON must be set to ON.
Any setting set to OFF will NOT be maintained when the camera is turned OFF.

ALL RESET

The ALL RESET function works two ways. When it is set to ON it restores the camera to the default settings once the camera is powered off. You can still put in custom settings, but they will be reset when you turn the camera off. When it is set to OFF the camera remembers the settings you have entered. For example, if you want the camera to always start up in the 3:2 aspect ratio you would turn ALL RESET to OFF and then select the 3:2 quality setting. The 3:2 setup will be there every time you start the camera up until you set ALL RESET to ON. When ALL RESET is set to OFF the camera will accumulate all of your setting changes, so it is recommended to reset the camera occasionally.

Camera reset

The D-390 allows you to choose if you want the camera to retain your settings or to default the settings. In the camera menu, there is a function called “All Reset”. If the selection is ON, the camera will default all settings each time the camera is powered on/off. If the selection is set to OFF, the camera will remember all of the settings that have been made.
