Issue with Kenmore Refrigerator/Freezer

ok,1st check on fridge side toward upper back of the top and feel for air coming thru, and there is another one down possibly behind crisper .I had this same deal. Had to do total defrost,, put food in cooler,, theres two blower fans in these types of fridges,,one in the bottom back,, and one in the back of the frezzer,, I used an old hair dryer and let it blow warm to top interior of frezzer,, careful not to let any cords hang/drop in any water!!,ok once done dry out as much water as possible, turn fridge on set both controls to 4,when fridge kicks on do the feel test,, you may need to close the frezzer door, air should be felt near top inside of fridge,if so than shut fridge side and feel inside frezzer near bottom and air should be felt,, side-by-side need to circulate air from frezzer to fridge, then back to frezzer

My Kenmore refrigerator is not cooling properly. Freezer portion works fine but not refrigerator. Came on suddenly.

I had the same problem. The frezzer worked but the fridge was not getting cold. What I have learned is that the frezzer make the fridge cold, so if the frezzer is working then something is blocking the cold air to get into the fridge. Most likely ice. The air come in at the bottom of the inside of the fridge next to the frezzer. Pull everything out of the frezzer, then unscrew the plannel that runs along the back and you see if there is ice. If so turn frezzer off and dry out the frezzer. I used hot water.

Fridge and freezer not cold. Everything thawing in freezer.

is the compressor running,if not you need a start device, call your part store, give them the model number and next time send it here also and they'll tell you what overload and relay you need for your machine,if the compreesor is starting check to listen if the fan is blowing in the frezzer?or check the back wall of the freezer,if there's frost or snow on the inside back wall you have a defrost problem, bad timer, thermostat or heater or there could be a board in this fridge but i need the model number, good luck

Freezer works fridge doesnt?

most likely defrost problem . most refrigerators getting their cold air from the freezer, so if your frezzer frost up, no air gets to fridge side, u have to remove the frezzer panel and inspect the evaporator coil, if frosty, u have bad defrost system, which part is bad? depends on the brand and model.

My refrigerator doesnt feel cold at all, the freezer is cold as it could be, what's wrong. It is a kenmor side by side model No. 1065458600

There is a blokage in the duct path due to humidity. Good news is that the Frezzer is cold. Both side share the same compressor, so there is no problem with the compressor. Just unplug power ( not turning it off) the Fridge in 24 hours to melt out the blokage then plug it back. Good Luck.

Frezzer coil water is dripping on it

I'm not sure about your icemaker, but i think it should be fine. Simply put, fridges or freezers have to get hot to make themselves cold, and they do drip water from time to time, although usually not a substantial amount. If you want to learn more wiki fridges freezers etc. the water should be an issue unless there are some exposed electrical wires located near it.

Not cooling properly

first the freezer does all the colling for both sides the fridge control just opens a damper door to allow air flow from the fridge if your frezzer is set to high turn it down some and put the fridge on the mid point setting also in the fridge side on the left about halfway down is a vent make sure nothing is blocking it reply with your model number so i can see who made it as kenmore don't make their own appliances and we will go from there

Frezzer is fine but fridge is warm

See if cold air is coming out of the air diffuser top-back freezer side of fridge. A common problem is a bad air diffuser assembly. Sometimes it may freeze closed and break when it tries to cycle. The freezer usually works fine.
