to reset the cmos you only need to take the small round battery off the board for a few minutes. if your laptop is not keeping time then you need a new battery on the board. ( you will find you cant get on websites when your laptop has the wrong time on as its a security risk ) to enter the bios ( which i would not if i didnt know what i was doing ) turn off laptop/press power button to turn it on/keep pressing F2 while its booting up ..but be careful in there
Hi,
Could be a possible Virus/Spyware related issue or startup items are causing this issue or could be issue with graphics/video driver etc.....
Unplug all external peripherals/devices if any.
When you say you restored it do you mean System Restore to an earlier time or ?
good day!We have the same problem last time I troubleshoot dell laptop. But I just wait for a minute before I turn it ON..but still turned OFF..so I tried to pull off the battery and power it directly in line. Then keep pressing the power ON..then it begin displaying.
Check your CPU fan, it may be clogged with dust/lint. Many times laptops do that due to overheating. Get a blower or Dust Remover (compressed Air) to clean that out
hi, your laptop led`s are also there for diagnostic purposes, if the caps lock and scroll lock (the one on right of caps) are flashing before going off, it means your system is not detecting the RAM so either your ram has failed or the motherboard is faulty
hi,
Please check for the exhaust,is it coming properly and check the bottom of the Notebook is it heating ?
If heating then this is the issue with the processor fan.
If the temprature is normal then check in BIOS(leave the system in BIOS mode for 8 minutes) if then also it is turning off surely this is the heating issue.
If above mentioned is not working please revert.
