Micrwave starts but then quits

Micowave will start and run for about 30 seconds and then just quit. It then is completely inoperative for a period of time, the display does not even light up.It is as if there is no power. After a period of time it becomes functional again.

Microwaves should only be worked on by fully qualified repair people and my advice to you would be to bring it to such a person, they can be dangerous to work on due to the presence of such high voltage, other than changing a light bulb any other repairs are out of limit.

I have a Sanyo micowave, can only get the instant start 30 seconds. Cant activate anything else or use the timer

If your timer is not working it is possible that it works on the memory default. Possible that the main board or the panel is faulty. To start with you can clean the boards and dry in case you notice these are soiled by insects. If not the board can be faulty and old models are difficult to source.

Panasonic Inverter Micowave only runs for four seconds

If the digital programmer circuit / controller does not get a feedback signal from the inverter for a period of 3 seconds, the controller will stop the cook cycle.

It may be a loose connection in the wiring between the inverter, magnetron, and/or control board, or maybe one of those components has failed.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

You can find an authorized Panasonic servicer here.
