Wacom pen hangs when i lift it and then is slow to respond again

It continues to respond when i am not touching the tablet  and then is slow to respond when i touch again. i cleaned out my cookies.previous expert told me that i needed a new driver for my mac. i installed it but it has not solved the problem.

    i only have this one computer. i rely on this computer and tablet for my livelyhood and i am loosing money every day it isn't working. it's been over a week and i am desperate to solve it.

    i already delete my cookies but i am willing to run an antivirus software. however thge one you just posted is for PC. is there a freeware for mac?

    since replacing the drivers/software my mouse is acting funny now too.

If you have gone through all this tests with no success then the tablet may be defective, and have a bad bluetooth reception, that the cause for the delay.

The only way to test it is by connecting to a different Mac, find a different Mac and test the tablet (go to a shop if you do not have a spare mac).

If you get the same problem on two different computers, then get a replacement tablet.

Try to format it to become fresh again. it should be working after you format your mac. if still doesnt work then the issue would be on your device. Contact your service provider or the shop that you bought this device.

Check if there is any update available for Mac. Completely remove the device and then connect it back again and check.

.if updating mac softwares did not help.then just load and install the latest antivirus and spyware/adware remover.and scan the system to remove spywares and adwares .this problem is often caused by spywares and adwares.u can download free spyware scanner from the link below: http://www.noadware.net/?hop=krytech

Try to isolate the problem by installing the device to another computer just to check if its the device problem or just on the computer.

Have you tried pulling the nib out (the end bit you draw with)? It could be that something is sticking the nib further inside the pen than it should, which is telling the pen you are applying pressure. As far as I know there is a little spring inside the pen that the nib pushes on when you touch the pen to the tablet. Perhaps the spring is permanently squished in.

When I use my 21ux everything is slow and the pen touching the screen stops most times


Really the problem is you need to get a faster computer.
Once you do that, you can actually make the 21ux respond ultra fast by going to the Wacom Tablet properties program, then select "Functions" next to "Tool".
In the "Express Keys" tab that appears, the 3rd one down by default should say "Precision Mode..."
Open that (by clicking it, then again on the menu that appears) and move the Precision slider to ULTRA FINE.
This makes the wacom respond almost instantly.
Its available with the latest Wacom tablet drivers (6.1.6-7)

In the wacom control panel, there is a sensitivity setting. move the slider to less sensitive. this does not affect the pen pressure, only how sensitive the tablet is to recognizing the pens presence.

That happened to me yesterday. What I did was I went to the wacom site here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/drivers.php, selected my tablet make and operating system, and downloaded the driver update. I installed it and as soon as it was done my pen started working again. Hopefully this works for you too!

Pen keeps drawing when I lift it off tablet


This problem commonly occurs due to a stuck "nib" sensor (the sensor that detects pen pressure).

Take out the "nib" (important, so the sensor isn't damaged further) and whack the pen on your desk (or drop it on the floor from 3 feet up). It re-seats the "nib" sensor when it's stuck. If this doesn't work after multiple attempts, then the sensor may be too damaged.

Update your drivers, but uninstall them completely first. if that doesn't work then you may have a faulty board.

Initial Delay of tablet pen


I had a similar problem with Vista which made the pen/cursor freeze just as the tip was placed on the tablet face.
The problem turned out to be a Vista setting.
I went to Start > Control Panel > Pen and Input Devices.
Then in the Pen Options tab highlight the "Press and Hold" pen action and then press the "Settings..." button. In the dialog box that opens uncheck the "Enable press and hold for right-clicking" check box. Hit "OK".
Worked for me.
