Uninstall all of the software, if the software is still installed. Unplug the printer, reinstall the software,plug the printer in,reboot the computer.

If you still get the same error, remove the usb cable and plug it back in. This happens either because the software is not fully installed correctly, so the com0puter can't read the all in one. OR the USB cable is messed up which inturn the PC can't read the printer fully.

If after installing the software and checking the cable you still got the issue, all in one is having communication issues. You will most likely have to call brother for that.

Also make sure to try to printer on another computer if you can. If it works on another computer, its software. If it doesn't its not software its the cable or the printer messed up.

Also at times I noticed brother printers need reset on the interface of the printer. You should be able to call brother to get the maintenace code to reset the printer.

error 41 is a defective print head
if out of warranty, replace with a cannon.
