Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
Door is stuck in lock position (light on) but can't get it to go off what do i do
The first thing to try is to unplug the washer for AT LEAST 30 minutes in an attempt to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). Sometimes, this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches with the unit.
If this does not correct the problem for you, the following link will explain how to MANUALLY release the door:
If the control panel itself is showing "Locked", press and hold the "End of Cycle Signal" button for 3 seconds to clear. The instructions are printed directly below the button on the front panel. This is a built in child safety feature that prevents small children from inadvertently locking a plymate inside the washer and manipulating the controls.
If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
