1 Answer

My sewing machine won't sew right on both sides.

When I sew on my machine of the bicor VX1500 it sews on top tight but the under part of my garmet pulls out big loose threads and wont sew tightly togther as it should. Is there any way of showing me by telling me what I should do?
Is it the tension or the bobbin or what? I lost my manual and I'd appreciate if someone could help me by printing out what the problem may be..Thank you
yanny
P.S. Where do I go to see the print out ?Also pleasePrint that web site out too.

Losen the top tension for the top (a knob that should be sticking out with a loop that holds the spool of thread taut).

Then tighten the bobbin tension...a dial that sits on top for the machine (well at least on my singer).

I know how frustrating this is, especially if you are working with fine, shear fabrics.

Good luck!!!

When i am sewing the stiches on top, but its at the bottom

change the needle --make sure it's the right one for the fabric
being sewed

rethread the machine top and bobbin

make sure the bobbin is turned the right way in the bobbin case

also check the top thread tension, if the stitches under the fabric
are loose adjust the top thread tension one number or letter higher
at a time and sew on a scrap piece of fabric till the stitches look
normal

On my bobbin side of the materal after i sew its just tons of thread on that side and the stitch is not tight

Loose on bottom indicates trouble with top tension. Re thread your machine with the presser foot UP. sew a test seam. If you still have problems adjust the top tension. sew a test seam. If you still have problems clean between the tension discs with some sturdy fabric and unwaxed dental floss. Sew another test seam.

Still problems? Wind the top tension tight then back off 1/4 turns until the seam is balanced.

My machine is a Singer Inspiration 4210. My stitch on top looks fine at first glance but it is birdnesting underneath. What should I do to correct this?

Check your top tension. It sounds like it may be too loose or the bobbin tension may be way too tight. Most likely it is the top tension that is incorrect though. The TOP tension effects the bottom side of the stitch and the bottom tension effects the top. If the top tension isn't tight enough it won't draw the thread up through the top side taunt enough and the excess underneath makes a big loopy mess.

Singer 3270c stops sewing in the middle of sewing and doesn't start up for a while

How is your power cord? Has it been stored wound tightly? Take it in for service because it may overheat and destroy the machine. I hope that it is under warranty or that it won't cost you anything to diagnose it, but something is very wrong.

I just moved cant find book for sewing machine. what is the standard setting on the machine? theard will not lock on the bottom of garmet

Contact White for a manual - http://www.whitesewing.com/customer.asp

If you thread the machine with the presser foot up, the stitching should be okay.

Zero for straight stitch and anything more is zig-zag.

How do you thread bobbin for Bicor VX1005?

Look through these threading guides for a Brother that has the same features. http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Threading_Diagrams.htm

The above site has a manual, but I not a threading guide. Unless it is the same as another model.

Presser foot lifter is stuck can i fix it

If you can't lift the presser foot up at all undo the presser bar screw on top of the presser bar, if you have a dial turn it to 0, you should now be able to move the lever, if it is still tight put some WD40 on the presser bar and leave it for a couple of hours.

My sewing machine is not pulling the stitches tight. It has something to do with were the bobin is.

When you have seeewen and you have a mess on the back, take a pair of tweezers and pull on the threads on the top, is there a lot of slack, if so your top tension is loose, even though it is on the bobbin side if it is tight then the bobbin tension needs adjusting (usually a small screw on the side of the case) and just barely turn the screw about a quarter turn until it's sewing the top tension is a screw like looking thing usally right above the needle

HELP

Make sure the thread is running off the bobbin the right direction and is under the auto-tension tab. On the top thread, make sure the tension is tight enough, the needle is the right length,in the right direction and is sharp.
