Question about HP Printer Cartridges (Complete List): , HP C9703A magenta toner cartridge

1 Answer

Minolta CMS magicolor printer 2300W

I need to replace the magenta cartridge When I click on replace cartridge, and select magenta in the dialogue box, a box comes up quickly, but never loads, then just goes away. If I click on the dialogue box that comes up (anywhere) it then says the toner replacement is not responding. I just changed the cyan and yellow. Now I can't get to the magenta to replace it, although I keep getting a message that it needs to be replaced. Any ideas.

There should be a light flashing on the printer. try pressing the button nearest to it to see if that will move the print head out in order that you can replace the cartridge

1. Open the Status Display (double-click on Status Display icon in the system tray on the lower right-hand portion of the task bar, OR click Start/Programs/KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 2300W Utilities/KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 2300W Status), and then check which toner color is empty.

3. In the Color list box, select the color of the toner cartridge to be replaced (CYAN, MAGENTA, YELLOW, or BLACK).
4. Select the capacity of the new toner cartridge (1500 or 4500).
5. Click OK.
6. When the toner indicator on the control panel starts flashing, open the printer's front door. The carousel is automatically repositioned so that the appropriate toner cartridge can be removed.

Please check your magenta cartridge if they are properly installed.

Make sure that your magenta cartridge are not empty.

Make sure that you are using the original konika minolta cartridge and not just a refill one or replacement one.

Cant replace a toner cartridge

It's done via the printers internal menu system:
On your Menu Select button press the arrow down once, then press the right or left arrow until it displays Menu Engine, then press down arrow again, then arrow right or left until it displays Engine Replace Toner (not Engine change toner SZ), then arrow down again, then arrow right/left till it shows the toner color you need to change, then hit the Menu Select button in the middle. The cartridges rotate until the one you selected appears, open the door and voila!

Help replaceing a toner

Here is what you do.... turn off the power, open the door to access the toner cartridges. You'll see the access port to pull the cartridge out. There will be a small picture to the top left showing to use your two fingers to pull it out. Between the pic and the opening there is a square hole with a round plastic tube in the center of it. Take a car or house key and stick it in the hole. When you do, you can now rotate the cartridges by sticking your finger in the individual cartridge holes. Rotate the cartridges until to can freely pull out the one that needs to be replaced. Put the new one in, close the door, turn on the printer... Ta-DA!!
